Roy Keane leaves Man U

i think there must be something coming up with the Ireland job. i cant see why he would go half way through a season unless he had somewhere else to go, and i cant see Man U allowing him to go if he was going to another premiership club.

isnt he still injured

One of the greats for sure. Think that Ferguson wants him out for his criticism of the prima donnas at United now after their performance v Middlesbrough when they lost 4-1.

Ferguson got rid of Stam for his comments in his autobiography and obviously thinks that as Keane is coming to the end of a great United career as well that the club is best to move him on.

Very few players these days give as much to a club as Keane has given to United and I am sure that he will go on to serve another club well now for another season or two. Note that United have awarded him a testimonial for his service and that the parting has been termed as "by mutual consent" - I am sure that there will be no shortage of takers for Keane. It would be hillarious if he chose to join Arsenal!!!

an old boy i work with rather cheekily said the same thing.

According to the Express, Stuart Pearce is interested in signing Keane for Man City. Surely it will never happen?!!

You say that, but who would have thought Peter Schmeichel would have played for Manchester City? Did Pearce and Keane play together at Forest? If so, Keane may feel tempted to see out the season with the blue side of Manchester.
