Luke Moore

Liam seems quite impressed with him, despite his lack of prolonged first-team opportunities.

From Kent Online

The Messenger could be adding two and two and making five, but if they're right, it looks like Onome could be missing out on a starting place on Saturday.

Also, interesting to see that Moore is the main reason behind Kim Grant's departure.

What was pleasing was that Luke and Charlie fed off each other - rarely more than 20 yards apart. Also they were always on the lookout to run into the inside left/right channels between the cenre halves and full backs, which is effective as the full backs are invariable on the "wrong" foot and have difficulty getting a tackle in.

Manny should take note!!

Certainly Moore's performance was no better or worse than those of late from Sodje, who understandably hasn't been able to maintain the heady heights of his performances against York and Accrington.

That said, Sodje was brought on far too late at the end - what impact is he going to make in a couple of minutes?

Also, interesting to note that both goals led indirectly from long passes today, proving that we shouldn't see long balls as exclusively a bad thing. It's just that they have to have some purpose, unlike our aimless efforts of recent weeks, and won't work with our relatively short strikers if the opposition's defence is deep.

Think he's looking very promising. Could he be the first real talent from the pase scheme?

I think the difference is if the long ball is a chest high 'pass' cutting the oppositions defence wide open, or a 20 foot high lob onto the centre back's head. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> At the end of the day it's all about creativity and not being predictable in the way we attack.

Surely he already is? After playing in the first team [is it 3 times now?] and more or less securing his place (in my opinion) for the Crawley game, he clearly has talent, and ofcourse he has got here before anyone else in doing so.

As said above, very promising
