Hello chaps, I'm right looking forward to saturdays game. Do you have any decent cask ale houses nearby the stadium.

 

Me and a few of my mates are going to make a day of it, a few beers before and after, win or lose and a chinky before we get the train home.

Right, cask ales, best place is the clubhouse, they're in bottles but one or two varieties.

Chinki, a few in Upminster, about half mile away or HX town centre there's 3/4

If you get a 248 bus to HX, get off outside the Hogshead and do a left the best chinki is on the corner, but there are more.

if you want to sample the delights of upminster, the crumpled horn have cask ales, the ones in the clubhouse are bottled, so not sure if that's what your after.

For "proper" cask ales, Hornchurch town centre is probably best (Wetherspoons, Hogshead, Firkin, Lloyd's No.1, Cricketers, Kings Head), but the pubs themselves are not the greatest. If you're happy just getting p1ssed and having a laugh, come straight to the club. See you on Saturday.
