More Gillingham problems.

Big report on RK this morning.

Scally is meeting his bankers (Bank of Scotland) over concerns of his mounting debts on Wednesday. If things don't go according to Scallys restructuring plans, Gillingham may well be put into administration, at a cost of 10 points.

Both Matt Davison and John Warnett agreed Admin + a 10 point penalty = relegation.

I assume that Scally will be taking a plan of his dream 40,000 seater astrodome abbutting Ebbsfleet station with him to his bankers.

With no money available to spend and I would imagine a reduced managerial salary. Would Fordy be a good outside bet ?

I see that Scally is due in Scotland today to discuss finances and the restructuring of the clubs debts with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

 

I can only hope that the bankers see sense and pull the plug!

If any good news came from yesterday, from our viewpoint, is that the Scally announced on RK that the only way to resolve his debt was with a new stadium, and that he had been talking constructively with MEDWAY COUNCIL to enable it.

As he should, he should listen to the fans and forget his stadium plans we do not need one, improve everything else first, then sell the Club and go away.

Their attendance was beaten yesterday by Exeter v Grays by 600.

Another pitiful one again yesterday, and we are now 2 games into the 50,000 pound giveaway !!

Well my brother got a free ticket, but only the kids in the football team did, in his year and the year above, therefore at his school they probably got 30 tickets max.

 

If this is correct for all schools, and in the programe it said 3 schools had been visited so far, then at first the attendances aren't going to be huge.

 

Obviously its a long term thing, but I can imagine some pesimists on here (not naming names) not seeing the point.
