Windsor do not have any others sources of £25k (or even £10k for that matter if we ended up paying less). On that basis you could argue they need us more than we need them.

You must have comprehensive insider information on the WEFC financial position and strategy!

Do you really think if Windsor had an alternative source of £25,000 they wouldn't have done something about it? It's not insider information, it's called using common sense.

No, that wasn't your point Ian, your point was that you [in your opinion] felt you were in a stronger position than us regarding the groundshare deal and I [in my opinion] didn't feel that was the case, no raw nerves touched just a common sense reply I felt!

As ever, Steve, I agree with most of what you say. My point was simply that as deep in the financial poo as we are (and perpetually seem to be) there are other grounds we can potentially use whereas Windsor will be hard pushed to find another club stupid enough, oops, I meant happy to pay £25k to share Stag Meadow! Nothing against Windsor or Stag Meadow, just the reality as I think most people see it. I'd never criticise Windsor as we've been treated superbly since we've been there (although you really do need some descaler in that bloody tea urn!).

In the medium to long term obviously you're still better off than us (and probably better off than most non league clubs) as you always have a home which is highly unlikely ever to be taken away. I never disputed that!

I think Ian that what has happened at Windsor is that like some pension companies, the people running Windsor took a funding holiday. When our money went in, they stopped puting any of thier own thats why there as been no improvment.

Why is it that it's always the anonymous posters that talk the most nonsense?

Running a non-league club at this level costs 3 or 4 times more than the £25k we get from the groundshare deal and that money is spent just on keeping the club running. Improvements are an added strain on top of what is already being spent and have to be justified, can you justify an extra £10k or £20k expenditure for crowds of 250 in your case or a lot less in ours, when the ground already meets the rquirements of the league?

Ian, I'll have words about the tea-urn although I think they must keep a special one for you as I've never heard any complaints at a Windsor game. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Seems as some imbercilic anon wants to enter into an unnecessary bout of oneupmanship, yes it WAS Slough fans that repaired the roofing on the turnstiles, actually.
