Totally agree Legend. There's just no passion or will to win on the pitch. It would be nice if CK could take it upon himself to watch a couple of U18 games and select a couple of them to train with the 1st team squad. At least they would have some pride for the club and I would more readily forgive a mistake made by them than someone on £200 a week who turns up for the money only. I'm sure there are a couple of the U18s who are good enough to at least be good back-up players getting a game here and there when we are short of defenders/midfielders. And who knows, if they train with the 1st team they might develop into quality players for the club. Some of their dedication is terrific so I think it would be a superb gesture for CK to take in a game and take a couple to training.

Know what you mean June, is it because when the supporters go away they tend to go as one.At home these hard core tend to stand with friends and family, the unity of the away games tends to become diluted.Come on you choir men show some passion, talk to the many youngsters who lean on the fence behind the goals get them to join in. Help make Hartsdown Park a vocaly intimidating place to come to.Share the burden.Standing bettween the catering unit and the seats, you get to ear a lot of comments. seated near by were a group of senior citizens, some who i have not realy noticed since i had to move my position at Dover(due to the overwhelming negativity in there comments).I stood there as long as possible before having to move away for a while. Every time any thing happened on the field they slated the player,They very nearly got a verbal of JK,but the saddest was the why do i bother look in his eyes.I am sorry but if they thing the team are just as awful now as they thought they were when in the conference, why do they continue to waste there pensions on this [****!!****] (there words not mine). Do these senior citizens think they are being positive, on the contary they are creating a negative atmosphere. I don't know what your thoughts are June,i do not believe any of the players are not trying,Maybe some do not have the ability, but i believe they are trying. I have takena lot of positives out of the last 2 defeats, some players have realy come on and look to have a future, others have dropped away,i can see them moving on as others come in. Perhaps we will have found the gems we are looking for by the weekend,Corbett maybe, who knows until the whistle blows. Are you coming on Tuesday,if so look forward to seeing you both.

We can't make Tuesday, Blueblood, it is difficult with work and all.

But I know exactly the group of old guys you talk about. We spend a lot of time moving about until we cannot hear any of it, as it spoils our day. Still, we seem to be building up a nice squad of replacements for them when this lot pop their clogs.

When I talk to the players, they know it is not going right, but they also desperately want to do better. I think it is mainly a confidence thing, and I do not think it is lack of ability. It reminds me a bit of the situation in the Premiership with Wigan, bursting with confidence, performing above expectations, and Everton, with a fine squad and manager, until of late unable to get a win going.

Most of the pundits rate the Everton manager, and acknowledge the talent in their squad, but very few do not believe it can turn around. I rate our manager, and I believe we have enough talent in the squad, so I think that all we lack is the little bit of luck, and the confidence within the team. That bit of self belief can make a huge difference. There's nowt I can do in football manager terms, but I can still get behind the team, and try to give them a boost. It is probably not worth that much to them, coming from an old biddy like me, but at least I feel I am doing something to help by encouraging them.

Many of us go on about the team etc on here. Some may not agree or just want to fudge over the truth but we all still go to the matches and do just as you say June. We all cheer them on from the minute they go out there till the very end. Encouragement and support will always be forthcoming though during the game some of us may get a bit uptight. We give out what we feel, as it is, on this forum. Maybe its our way of letting off steam but during the match we are all most definately behind them, theres no doubt about that. After all no matter how the game has been played before the next game is always back to square one and we go again and again because we are looking for that spark to appear where it hasnt been previously, and of course its OUR team and we are proud of it,no matter what we say about it at times.

I had a word earlier this season with one of these individuals who do nothing but holler abuse at their own players. To be fair he has been at matches since and not done the same. That's just one though.

The comments above are perfectly correct in the effect barracking has on players. I think a lot of those who do it would desist if they realised it was harming their team's chances of winning.

So speak up and shame these people! They will soon stop if they know the rest of the crowd are against them.

I personally hammer players on this forum but seldom do it on the day. I have many frustrations on the day, dont we all, but on the day of the match and in hearing view of the players I agree THAT isnt good for their morale. I forget the amount of times I was urging on young Laurence on Saturday when he had made a smart move. Yes, on the day we should refrain from remarks about players in case they get to hear them. I do say a few choice words to someone next to me at times but I'm not shouting it out.

If there is any criticism to be made then I feel this forum is the place to do it and it should hurt no-one to be able to do so on here.

what a load of rubbish i dont have a nice drinkie with the lovely lads after the game and i will continue to say what i and many others think.if they are not good enough to do the job they are paid for then take the critisism and get better or get out.weve had 2 relegations in 2 years and excuses dont cut it anymore.we all pay our money and if we dont get value we are entitled to complain but it dont mean we dont love our club

And one of things I take from this thread is that whilst you think comments like that above are a "load of rubbish" others don't. In fact, the debate between (choosing my words carefully here) the right to complain and a desire to be less critical looks pretty evenly split to me. However, I guess we all share the view that we all have concern for the club's success on the pitch at heart.

Lets have a revolution ,critise the manager until he leaves, critisise KP and burn effigy of him on the next bon fire(if he's here then), Keep having a go at the players until one day they don't turn up(most are free agents). Yeah revolution, revolution, revolution. Right now thats it ,the fun is over, the guillotine has been wiped clean and put back into what was Ray's hut.The adrenaline as left the veins.Oh, what next, weve had two peoples managers and numerous peoples committees, which could not agree whether or not to drink tea or coffee. The 1/2 dozen or so wingers are still there critisising the rusting temporary stand. The CLUB,lets not forget it. We might as well,we are know playing Kent league and struggling along in a dilapidated temporary hartsdown park.London and Margate a long distant memory. The peoples bank has taken any thing not bolted down. Maybe a overeaction,But change is very rarly bloodless. If you go to see a crap film, yes you are intitled to talk about it to people if they ask.( the difference is next thursday you will have a new programme/new cast)if you see a crap game yes you should talk about it. last match against Dartford was a dissapointment, but i personaly took a quiet a bit away from the gate in individual performances, yes we are 3 perhaps 4 players away from kicking ass.the best way to see this happen is to stand in a crowd that is singing its heart out in support.Anyway i hope to see you on tuesday. Up the GAAAAAAAAATE.

nothing to do with the debate, just a request.Could you please take a little more time in reading out the teams.By the time we have put our glasses on found a pen and put our teeth back in you are 1/2 way down thelist.I know the teams are posted up on the hut,but with the ground as it is if you move away you loose your spot and view. Thank you. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Will try to do that. I'll also give a little more warning thaty I'm about to read the teams out - that might help too.

And dont give the rugby scores out as I was taping it to watch when I got home. l.o.l. Its all right it was the Ireland game that I had taped. Mind you if something IS being televised could you warn us too that you are going to give the result out as others might also have taped it for later viewing. Those that have can be warned to cover their ears. Only a minor detail Steve and not often does this occur anyway. Until I realised it wasnt the England game I had taped you should have heard me cursing you for giving the result out without warning. Still as I say in this case it wasnt that game I had taped after all so its thanks therefore for letting us know how they did get on!

Blueblood. Why are getting revved up about some of us talking about the game, the way it went, and individuals performances. None of it is meant as malicious & certainly not to make matters worse. Naming players performances and how we played is part of a football forum surely. If everyone had the same way of thinking what would be the point of a forum to discuss things.I would have thought that discussing the game itself was one of the MAIN reasons for having a forum.

However I hear what some of you say,I read what CK has said and after all,I personally have said my bit now so maybe I will try it your/his way & see if that helps though there really isnt an ulterior motive for talking about the game in the way that I and others do. Its just what happens after a game. It happens all over & not just with us on here.We all think and say and do things differently and thats human behaviour for you. I may not agree with what you say or others but I do respect it so I would hope the same could be applied back.

Again though, from now on I will bite the bullet and stay silent after bad performances so I at least am going to try it your way. I cant talk for others but hopefully they will follow suit and then we can all see if staying quiet improves things.Cant wait to give praise again though. Maybe this will do the trick.I still expect others to continue with the criticism after bad performances. As I mention above there should be nothing wrong in doing so on here but as for me I will keep my feelings and thoughts to myself from now on so at least thats one more fan who is willing to be temporarily converted.

of course its not malicious its just a way of letting off steam after an inept performance.if we said nothing all that would mean is that we dont care.we ALL have the good of the club at heart.if we perform the least bit better i will be happy to say so but if things continue i will say what i see.sorry but patting someone on the back for not doing their job dosnt work

It's funny you say that because I do wonder how some people feel about the premiership scores I give out (when I get them). I know they're only half times but .....

As for the rugby score, I suppose it's just one of those things. I try to provide information that I think people will be interested in. Which gives me a thought ......

Cookie. i can assure you that i am not getting revved up. Yes you have opinions as does everybody else, they are all equally important whether we individualy regard them as valid or not. I think you will agree the standard of debate as improved dramaticly since becoming registerd ,a thread such as this would have turned to anarchy long before this point.Long may it remain so.I for one am not asking you to bite the bullet. Tony, don't take it personaly, You have as much right to your opinion as i or any one else
