From my view a very hard earned 3 points for the lads and 3 that could have, barring the woodwork, been gained a lot earlier. In truth these very hard working teams are getting used to playing us and so with that in mind we keep plugging away and our just desserts arrive.

Good goal from Billy and doesn't he rise nonchalantly to nod the ball in, so expertly covered on the video by our Mr TV, well done RM excellent coverage.

I'm not gonna comment on the officials this week because they were hardly noticeable.

Instead the rise of the Tunnel End was in evidence and the noise created by many forms of liquidation were to reverberate around Bridge Avenue by the "Early Xmas" revellers. Well done lads now where was the Windmill End choir yesterday?

It was tense stuff out there with Apsa playing the old 8 - 0 - 2 formation with an intent not to lose clearly evident. We seemed slightly lacking in knowledge of how to break them down, but to be fair to them they did ok and if hair bare bunch had an eye for goal, we could have been punished. But we weren't, stay top of the league and that's enough. Some games we win pretty, some we win dirty, I don't care as long as 3 points is the end result.

 

Luke Longman looks assured on the ball, a good asset for us when a calm head is needed and good passing ability. And super Bill comes up with the goods again.
