I thought we played well today considering we came into the game on the back of 3 straight defeats without a goal.

Ok we lost but definatly an improvement. Shame to see not that many fleet supporters travelled down to a game which is defantly more local than some of the others.

Hopefully our performance today will improve even more for the Altincham game next week and the result will go our way!

despite the defeat thought more positives than negatives today.

 

In both halfs we held our own, and in the second half had the 2 best missed chances with Sodje 1 on 1 with keeper and a free header for Luke Moore.

 

We got our tactics right when Proths got sent off. ie sorted out the back 4, not like the displays at kettering and Grays. Not sure Drury would have been my choice to sub, probably would have gone for the new boy. But, it worked. Thought we did play the ball on the deck when we could.

 

For the second half even with 10 men we had more chances than they had, but it comes down to taking your chances. Which unfortunately like Stevenage a couple of weeks ago, we were second best.

 

Despite a few of us there today. Twas a quiet Fleet crowd. Which was probably due the long unexpected f'ing walk up the hill to get in, as that would knacker out the fittest amongst us.

 

 

Do hope the Fleet fan in distress at HT is OK.

 

 

 

Up the Fleet. We need 3 points next week, which has turned into a musn't lose game .

if you bothered to go you would have seen a great display by the ten men of GNFC for over an hour we were superb and for better finishing Sodjes tame effort and Moores header we would have won, bad free kick given away by Gooding at the deaf cost us a point. Any news on the fleetfan taken away by there medical crew anyone looks like he was suffering from chest pains and that bloody walk to the turnstyles was endless i was knackered myself after that.

126 of us which is a very poor for a relatively local fixture.

Quiet??? We sang our hearts out under the covered stand!
