It'll be good to see him back at Hartsdown today, 261 appearances for Margate from 90/91 to 96/97 which puts him 5th on the post-war list for appearances by a keeper.

 

He made the best penalty save I've ever seen when he stopped Julian Dicks' piledriver in the 1996 friendly against West Ham and Kevin must have made the best part of 1000 appearances in his career which is pretty amazing.

 

Interestingly (?) Kevin played in the first 9 competitive games of the CK era before being replaced with Charlie Mitten (on loan from Dover) during 96/97, Lee Turner took over later that season.

 

On a separate note - Almer Hall, Peter Vandepeer and Alan Fagan all born on this day.
