All,

On behalf of the club and through the website, I have signed up to (on behalf of STFC), the buy.at affiliate network. All purchases made through this site will now be generating money for the club on a monthly basis. Perfect in time for Christmas, why put up with the hustle and bustle of High Street shopping? Order your gifts online and through one of the retailers. Not only will you be supplying a loved one with a gift, but making money for the football club at the same time!

"You can now start earning money for Slough Town Football Club without spending a penny! Just take a look at these fantastic offers:

* Raise 70p just by filling in a Consumer Products Survey from Experian and you will also be entered into a great prize draw.

* Open a current account through Lloyds Bank and receive £10.

* Citibank Direct’s current account offers 3.82 AER with no need to pay in your salary or minimum amount. Receive £1 for every application and £60 is earned when the account goes live.

* Capital One will give your organisation £22 for credit card applications which are accepted instantly and £7 if the application is referred for further checks.

* Switch gas and electricity provider through your webshop and you’ll get the cheapest rate guaranteed and your organisation will receive up to £24 for each household who switches.

If twenty of your supporters take up these offers Slough Town Football Club could earn more than £1000 without asking them to buy a thing!"

Ladies and Gents,

The online survey is a very, very easy way of generating money for the club, yet only four people have completed it so far. Each completed survey raises an additional seventy pence for the club, so the more that do it, the more we make.

That and of course there are some other bargains on there....

When going on through the http://www.buy.at/sloughtownfc link, it does it through cookies.

Here's what it says in the FAQ on their site:

"When you click on any links you will be taken through to specific retailers' own websites. They are responsible for your order and ensuring credit card security. Cookies are used to track your purchase; it is then used to record the commission for your group."

Ok.

I just cancelled some orders with Play.com and reordered them after changing my cookies options. At what point do you know I have done this and when does the contribution get transferred?

Sorry to be a pain by asking, just interested in how this works.

And survey now completed too <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

On a more serious note Gary, does the system tell you exactly what I'm buying, my payment details or the fact it was me who ordered the goods? Or do you just get a message coming through from the companies that somebody has bought goods through the Slough Town shop?

The latter. I have a page I can look it which shows the number of visits to a particular shop and then the amount of purchases from that shop. I can see 8 people have looked at the survey link, and six completed it, but for the shops, it won't say what they've purchased, just a number and then a commission value.
