......... gesture by club.

 

Having had a healthy debate on that topic, I thought I would follow it up by the "gesture" at Crawley this weekend. All season ticket holders have been issued with 4 free tickets to tomorrows game at Broadfield against Southport, because of the situation they find themselves in at the moment, Managerless and showing a poor run of form.

It dosent hurt to show gratitude does it Ian. Thanks for noting the above.To be fair I was not thinking correctly the other day in that it WAS a Cup match therefore the proceeds would have been shared so I can see how a knock-back on this occasion was given. However a league game or other, of some less significance in the future wouldnt be so harmful I wouldnt have thought. Apparently I was insulting the club in asking for a concession though I cant see where that applies in the request for a reduced admission for loyal fans.

It was "I" that felt insulted for having them think "I" was being insulting to the club.I felt it was a genuine and reasonable request.

I wont be asking again thats for sure.

Further to the above it would have been good PR & media coverage for the club to have got in there first with a similar offer but now it seems Crawley will get the headlines first.Well done Crawley FC.

how the hell can your idea be insulting surely everyone knows it was meant in good faith to help the club.im afraid the clubs attitude to many of this seasons issues had been totally wrong
