Atmosphere at hdp

It would probably have been a lot better if the club had a small temporary covered terrace at the coffin end. I know these things are very cheap and they would probably cover the costs with a few added to the attendance figures especially for bigger games.

Tobe fair, 6 months ago most of us were delighted there was a pitch taking shape, let alone somewhere to watch from.

At the moment, i think the focus needs to be about on pitch performance.

We need to be showing some form of on field progress

A bit hypocritical as i don't get to too many home games, but i'm sure most would accept freezing thier nuts off, if the team was turning in regular winning performances.

Being cold and wet and alongside miserable losing performances does take some accepting.

Win or lose MM I have found it very cold down the Coffin end and I doubt I will venture down there in a hurry unless the weather is warmer.Wimp,I know, but there it is. As you say though on field results are more important. Going back to the coffin end I feel sorry for those AFC Wimbledon supporters that are going to have to be down there for ALL the game seeing as though segregation is going to be put in place. Still it might stop them from cheering on their team. But then again it might inspire them to to keep warm.

If things go to plan, was not further development due to start just after Christmas, starting at this end, so i can't see anything happening short term, but am i not correct that this is the first area of proper development.

Thereby IF things go to plan ,won't it be closed anyway in the new year

I agree with you Cookie, the coldness of the Coffin End is a deterrent for spectators. It is right in line of the full blast of wind that has built up from the open fields on the other side of Hartsdown Road. We have been very fortunate with the weather up to now as it has been unseasonably mild. As the weather gets colder and wetter standing at the Coffin End will not be an option for the majority of fans. This means there will be even more limited space for the standing spectators. Hopefully we can maintain a good level of regular attendances and that the full development of the ground gets underway as soon as possible.
