the fixtures are looking a bit strange, according to my list given out at the turnstile, we play st albans at home in nov. How are we playing some teams for a second time before we play some teams for the first time (grays, canvey, ford) ??

Looks like the League’s Fixture Computer really can't cope with two more teams in the division this year. Forgive me if I’m wrong but I reckon St Albans are the only side we are scheduled to meet twice before the 2nd half of the season. As Simon said Expect a postponement though on 16th November due to FA Cup involvement – St A’s are at AFC Sudbury this Saturday.

The Ryman League traditionally starts it’s 2nd half the middle week of December, the week before the last team is played for the first time, In our case we meet Harrow again on 14th December, the week before the fist encounter with Ford United. Don’t forget how much the second half of the season draws out. It took just 5 weeks to get to play Purfleet first time around, it was going to be 8 for the second scheduled game on 8th Feb. Shows what affect to mid-week games have.

BTW heard on BBC Essex that the Draw for the 3rd Round of the Essex Senior Cup will be made (and broadcast) tonight. Another mid-week to be slotted in somewhere.
