Just as well, with England kicking off straight after. Here's my prediction:

2-1 win for Margate, having been 1-0 down with 2 minutes to go. Pretty streaker at half time. Mr Piper does victory handstand in the centre circle after the match. MOM Charlie Mitten for the two penalty saves. Poor refereeing. Home to Ramsgate in the next round.

I think you'll find that's pretty accurate.

1-0 to Dartford IMO. On current form Dartford have to be the favourites and they have players who will be looking to prove something. What may favour us is the crowd and atmosphere as their team is quite young and relatively inexperienced.

Anyone think their boss could have watched us Tuesday maybe as they trained Monday and Wednesday this week (their manager's notes on the Dartford forum.....)

Blimey! These predictions are a bit grim-I go to every game expecting to win no matter who we're playing ( even when we are pants ) otherwise what's the point. 2-1 Margate and I'll be on here Saturday evening saying "told yer" after the England game who'll also win 2-1. A bit of PMA- although I do hope Cookie is wrong 'cos "ONCE a season" he gets it right. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Dartford have a good set of fans and they have been through a lot over the last decade or so. I look forward to them bringing a good number on Saturday.

All the controversy from their games v Dover in the last round might work to our advantage. The ref will no doubt be aware of all the furore and may well set out with the intention to clamp down on the slightest thing from any of their players (not neccessarily fair, but these things happen).

Thank you Hornet. I am assuming you mean my predictions & not other things.

I havent seen Dartford in action but it seems they are having a good season & all I can judge them by are their two games v Dover. They cant be that bad a side to have seen them off over two games. However if I were put on the spot and were asked an honest opinion I would say 2-1 to the Gate. Failing that a draw, same as Dartford did at Dover. 1-1 second choice.

We all go looking for a win Hornet but with the current form it is so hard to see where the next win is going to come from.

Still who knows we may turn it on on Saturday and actually do that. We will all be there hoping.

You guys seem really depressed. We (Dartford) have had such a woeful time for the last 13 years that we get excited very easily and our expectations are significantly lower than they used to be. The reality of the situation is that, even if you are having a bad patch, you must be overwhelming favourites to progress. We aren't doing too badly at the moment and we do have quite a few good promising younsters. We are a bit inconsistent though, so a lot will depend on which version of the Darts turns up on Saturday. Yes, it is POSSIBLE we can win but I would have thought it was unlikely unless we are at our very best and you have an off day. Please don't take any notice of the propoganda coming out of Dover. Most of us at those games had no idea they were "dirty" until Dover declared them so afterwards. We were outclassed for much of the game at the Crabble but hung on bravely for a draw only to be stung by a lot of unfounded vitriol from some very bitter people. We are a much better side at home though and deserved the victory in the replay. It's funny, but I don't think we would have won that game had Dover not so enraged everyone at our club with their barrage of abuse. I don't think I've seen everyone so focussed on winning a game for about 15 years or more. Anyway, I just hope that whichever of our clubs loses on Saturday has the dignity and respect to wish their opponents well and accept defeat graciously. Good luck to you guys for the future.
