Lets be realistic. We are still in administration<at the moment>We only have 1 player playing from last year.We only came out of nearly a season`s embargo in the summer. We`re lucky kp and ck stuck with us.We`re lucky to still have a club. We need to be patient and support the players. nobody can build a club or new team in such a short time.Look what has happened to Dover in the last 10 years, they have had Peter Taylor , Bill Williams,Nev Southhall ,John Ryan and others and struggled. We had some great players 18 months ago we had SODJE-BRENTFORD,P.SMITH-CRAWLEY:G.PORTER ,JAY SAUNDERS,ROSS SMITH-GRAVESEND:J LEBERL- DAGENHAM: A.CLARKE,CHE STADART,M.GREEN-WELLING:ROCKEY BAPTISTE,DARREN ANNON-HAVANT:AARON BARNETT-ST.ALBANS:J.M.SIGERE-LEWES:PETER BENEVIDIES-U.S.A.:ALEXIS CHARA.,-SUTTON; All playing at top of conf. sth. or better. Not to mention DANNY MURPHY-IRISH LEAGUE;T.McFLYNN £10,000 to MORECOMBE : on loan B.BRAYLEY-GRAYS:J.SMITH-GRAVESEND: PLUS The good players we have now. These players left because we were demoted and we could`nt pay them. I think this shows CK can still get players better than anyone else in non-league given a level playing field. GET BEHIND THE TEAM,BE POSITIVE,BE PATIENT.

Good post Cliff (welcome to the forum by the way!). There are some fine players in your list and a couple of not-so-fine in my opinion.

Your positive message is welcome, especially as there have been some unhappy bunnies on here since last weekend's poor performance.

True they tend to be our more junior contributors, but at least they follow real football instead of sitting at home pretending to be Chelsea fans.

Chris 1,whats wrong with being a chelsea fan?Have been for the last 15 years and a gate fan for the last 7-8 years. Was one of the volenteers that helped do the ground for the conference, followed the gate up and down the country. Is'nt a junior's contrabution to this forum equal to the senior view?Everybody has an opinion,so let them air it young or old!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

You can only use a system that suits the players you have at your disposal,CK doesnt have such luxurys so he needs to adapt to what he's got.Wing backs worked in years gone by,when we had the right players, but not anymore. It must be easy for opposing managers to set their teams up,as we always use the same system.

The Official MFC site says:

"The Directors can now confirm that the Clubs CVA has been approved by the Football Association, signed by the Club’s Directors and sent to the High Court for sealing."

So in short, yes. The club as I understand it has paid off the remaining debt. Loans from Jim Parmenter have been defered so Jim Parmenter isnt asking for the money right now.

Why do people keep harking on about the good old days? It is about now and the future. If you want to be so obsessed with the recent past then you could say we have had successive relegations - brilliant! If we are patient and relaxed about everything it could be a dreaded hat-trick!If we slip any further down the pyramid we will soon be in the sand! The plain facts are that the squad we have is not good enough imo and we have never had a settled side. Just look at all the different players we have used so far this season. CK has used 8 strikers (two have already gone)for example and in desperation has now resorted to naming his son as a substitute. We have too many loan players that are not showing enough commitment imo. We have been unfortunate that three of the four remaining players from last season have suffered with injuries and a long suspension in one case but the level of performance from most of the new faces has been consistently poor. Apart from Fisher away which we were unlucky to lose, when, hand on heart, could you say we have played well for long periods in a match? I don't think even CK knows what his best 11 is yet which is worrying as we are over a third of the way into the season. Ona more positive note I really hope we can turn things around with a good performance and result against Dartford on Saturday.Hopefully this will instil some confidence which we can take into the league matches and will see us climb the table to a more respectable position.

Actually it seems that nearly every thread of his is very negative towards the club now I`ve had a look

There's plenty of posters on here that are extremely pro-club, so much that you could almost imagine them being paid as spin doctors! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

It's good for general debate to have different opinions mate.

Until any document is signed, sealed and deliverd, and the final announcement made, it is a concern. As a budding politicle type you will need to remember it.
