Can't post too much as I have to be up for work at five tommorow but another completely inept performance with far too much hit and hope ( overhit mainly ) although I found it a curiously entertaining evening. Apart from our two very well taken headed goals-again not many positives-except for the ever increasing senses of humour from the Hartsdown end. Crap ref & linos yet again. Thought we improved when the hapless Remy went off ( surely he must be dropped ) although did'nt quite know what to make of the giant Lawrence Yiga when he came on-he was a presence who showed a lot of effort-as did the team as a whole but we just lack quality although Adolf is developing into a pretty useful forward.

As I said earlier the best thing about tonight was the fans humour and will be back Saturday for some more.

Best amusement of the night was counting how many passes Margate could string together - got as far as 5 once but I'm sure one of those was a mis-kick! Thought MFC performance was better than last Saturday on the whole so perhaps things are moving in the right direction. Standen had some good touches, Adolf took his chances well and Yiga certainly looked the part. Roll on Saturday.

Glad to hear the performance was better (could it have been any worse than sat?) but again not the right result although I won't lose sleep about being knocked out of the Wetsview Trophy. I do still however feel that Saturday's trophy clash with Dartford is pivotal to the rest of our season and the future of certain personnel at the club (not just the players!)Let's hope that the players are better mentally prepared and are more motivated by the manager than they were for the Cray match as Dartford will be just as tough.

Agree Hornet, looked much better when Yiga came on & supported Adolf, who was a revelation, lad didnt stop running all night causing the Bromley defence problems. With the right thro ball in the 1st half he may have latched on to some of them & scored. Unfortunately most were over hit but, to be fair probably more to do with the wind blowing as Bromley did same in 2nd half.

Very entertaining game, and much better as a spectacle than Saturday.

Was good to see some urgency in attack, or to be fair attack in general, and some passion and will to win.

Standen's pin-point accurate cross to set up the first goal was beautiful. Sesay's to set up the second also. Good to see Warren playing too, albeit for the first half only, and he and Standen were linking up well.

Ian when he came on gave a lot more substance to the midfield, but still not enough passing there, or patient build up for the forward line, and too much reliance on the long ball forward. In that wind it was difficult to get the distance right.

The new forward is very tall, isn't he, and gangly, but he does look lively.

Bill again was fantastic at the back, and Kola, although I still think not 100%, was playing very well. Paul Egan gave a good account of himself, considering he has only played on half of a game during a friendly this season, and made a couple of outstanding saves in the second half. Good distribution too.

I dread to think how cold it is going to get at the Coffin End when the weather gets really wintry because it was brass monkeys there last night.

Speaking to a Bromely fan for most of the game.He did not understand at the time and still does not why Bromly let Adolph go,saying they had only one player near him and the rest behind. I thought overall young egan did ok ,once nerves had settled,i was impressed how he came out and forced the Bromley guy to put his shot wide late on, donovan grew into the game looking more confident on the ball as time passed.hopefully we have a good one there.Young sesay is also growing in confidence, would love it if we could play him in his true position.Kola did well ,in what was his 1st 90 minutes since playing at Bromley. I am not sure what warren Ryan was doing, was he trying to keep up his reputation as a hot head. The new guy certainly has more pace than Remy, this allowing Adolph more room.Even Ian Hillare looked quite nippy.Bill was Bill, solid as ever, actualy had a sliding tackle.standen as usual ran around at pace, as did Maxwell, Mcgowen was more solid than saterday. The team will miss Hasim on saterday, but good luck when away,he will surely benefit from his time away. Agree a large amount of the overhit balls in the 1st half were down to the wind,Bromly had the same difficulty in the early part of the 2nd turn around. If we had'nt gone to sleep right at the begining of the 3rd 1/4 we would have had penalties. Will we make the required numbers on saterday, any more injuries and we could see young Kinnear on the field. All in all saw enough good signs not to go home to un happy.

Didnt think the game was that great from our perspective though I will agree that there was a little spark that flickered for 15 minutes around our second goal. I would like to point out something about a player who I have slated of lately but tonight did much better. Standen was given the captains armband and it probably did the trick. In the first half he made a couple of pin-point passes but to say he didnt make many other passes go astrray would not be fair to my summing up of his performance. In the first half he was,as usual all over the place, here, there, everywhere but in the second half he switched to full back and though well beaten on several occasions down the flank at least kept his position which is something I have been looking for from him. His ariel abilities are very suspect but all in all I was more enthused by his performance from tonight than at any other game I have seen him this season. He also has plenty of stamina as he never stopped running.A bit more skill on the ball and more time thinking about where he passes will improve his performance even further too. Not a great stride forward but it was an improvement in my eyes. Just hope he can pick it up from here & continue this improvement. Just one more thing he sent one corner over in the second half which was perfect. Hard driven into the box & it nearly paid off. No more high floating corners please Dean. Hard and with pace. They will always give us an outside chance of a deflected goal even if the forwards dont get onto the crosss.

Altogether a little bit more effort tonight but too many times we did the same as Saturday.Still it WAS an improvement..at times..and as stated elswhere it wouldnt be hard to improve on Saturday anyway. Amaoko *star* man by a very very long way. Continual effort & pace and very good with his finishing.

Further to the above it was a shame we werent given a cast iron penalty tonight when the new guy YIGA was brought down. That was a diabolical decision if ever I saw one & the ref was right on top of it too. Maybe he didnt want to be there all night & had another engagement planned for later that night.Thought Bromley controlled the ball well, played it around nicely and fully earned their victory.

I agree Tony was in line with incident a certain penalty! Thought referee & assistant with yellow flag both useless! In fact my mate I was standing with was giving him some stick all the time in the 2nd half! Nicely of course! No swearing!
