Yet more!

 

1970 - Jack Smith's goal after 4 minutes at Herne Bay was enough to put us through. Margate played in green and black stripes and shortly afterwards their top striker Barry Brown signed for us. The attendance that day of around 2200 is still a record for Herne Bay FC.

 

1973 - The home defeat against Leytonstone to which I mentioned a few days ago!
