[color:"blue"]SeasideSteve you misunderstand me, I'm not making excuses for the team, I'm not happy with all this chopping & changing. I just want some stability in the side so we can play like a team. I'd love to see some flowing running and passing, rather than just the speculative, uncohesive. stuff we saw today

For example, as individuals we have a better squad than last season, though as a team last seasons players played with a better understanding than was evident today.

When Hasim Deen was playing in defensive midfield at start of season we looked a much stronger outfit.

CK does seem to play people in their wrong positions.

Despite injuries, if you play someonr out of position, you get the worst of both worlds.

Keep players in their best and most influential positions , and do the best you can in the position that cannot naturally be filled.

That way you only weaken one position -not two.

Starting to see bad shades of last season with two players completely out of position at full back

Again, with respect Michael, you are still giving out excuses in a way and are you also saying that a further relegation struggle should be ignored until the last few games of the season. Will that then will be the time to speak up and change things or personel. Bit of a case of "closing the stable door after the horse has bolted" dont you think?.

"on another note why do they sell bottles and keep the screw top lids, i was told its in case we chuck the lids. so if thats the case why cant we throw the bottle also?......"

We are told that we have to keep the lids to stop you from throwing a full bottle of drink, which would do much more damage than a bottle that would be half empty by the time its hit anything. Hope that explains it. Its only because we are a new ground that we have to follow all the new FA rules.

Week last monday at Fisher i witnessed what i believed to be the best Gaaaaaate performance for years. That team did not turn out yesterday. Why,Smith as gone back,Bertie is injured, Warren Ryan injured,Leon Braithwaite(who was taken off at fisher with the start of his present injury)injured, Greg oates (who did not play at Fisher)broken arm.plus long term injuries,Kola, who came on as sub yesterday for JK and who was, by the way he was walking still carrying his injury, plus Pat Gradly( who i believe could be back saterday) I defy any team with perhaps the exception of Chelsea to play well with this type of problem.I like every one in the ground was dissapointed with the game and result. Chelmsford are not a good side,if the team we had at fisher could have turned out today we would have had a different result. I agree,Charlie Mitten was again safe,Billy Edwards was on form,Young Sesay (17 years old) playing out of position did well enough,JK gave is all(stitches and all)until being take off.Adolph needs someone to play off.as for the rest of the forwards i'll say no more,Except possible the best chance fell to Ian Hillare, unfortunatly i believe it was his 1st touch.Yesterday we were very low on numbers, infact we had a new youngster on the bench, one Chris Kinnear junior. Yes the Squad is not good enough, yes, you know it I,know it KP and the board know it, and CK knows it, The Gaaate need new players, yes we will get them, but like everything in this life,it ai'nt easy.Word as it,Ck is close to signing one, possible 3,hopefully intime for tuesday. Yes,maybe he has a good budget, but he also as the legacy of the last 3 years to get over,Nomadic existance, financial problems, players not being payed. If it was only as simple as just playing football. As for taking pressure of players,i would'nt have liked to have been a fly on the wall at half time by the look on CK's face. From what KP said at the last meeting,It is obviouseCK's budget is not bottomless, for people to come in others will have to leave,if i was one of yesterdays forwards i would be worried very worried. I hope i am not making excuses but putting facts on the page. The GAAAAAAAAATE can only go onwards and upwards from here.

I agree with BlueBloods comments, we may have the money now to get in the players, but players are still wary of a club that has been in the position we have, and of course, we are now paying the price of this by not being able to get in the type of players we want, and then the poor results in turn putting of these players even more... although... and this is still pure rumour, a mention of 'Jake Leberl returning' was going around the ground yesteurday, so at least we can speculate things are going in the right direction. I know this is still just an excuse, but still, if you were a player, would you really go to a club with a temporary stadium that's nearly folded serveral times in the last few years?

Thanks Blueblood. It would be nice if the club would explain these factors, even if it is only a few words on the website.

Most supporters will be understanding; more knowledge will keep them interested and coming throught the turnstiles. As it is, some will be thinking 'that performance was cr#p, let's not bother going again'.

Stay in touch with the fans, Gate!

Chris kinnear's continuing to look in the wrong place for footballers. At this level ive played with at least two players that would strengthen his side and they're right on his doorstep. One plays for tony m's team and imo is as good as elliot martin if not better( certainly much faster ), and one plays for birchington usc. If you can get some local tallent mixed in with the likes of keister, edwards, im sure the passion of which we lack will come through. We lack a hard centre mid player with a good final ball and a fast skillful winger. Rams have got a good side of locals so I think ck needs to get down here on a sunday morning and have a look around.

Ive calmed down a bit since yesterday but am still disappointed by the lack of effort shown by the team, i know we have injuries but damn it why is CK sticking with 5-3-2 when we clearly cant play it with the players we have available.

They really did play without any direction out there and i still havent figured out were the hell standen was supposed to be playing i am by no means singleing DS there were by far worse offenders on the pitch, and why the hell is CK wasteing a player like Sesay playing in a postion he clearly strugles to play at i know his young and he could still learn to play at wingback but he looks so uncomftable in a defensive role.

The team has little excuse this season last year was horribe at times but we took it becuase we knew the situation was tough, but this season we must go beyond the dribble we watched for most of last season.

We have to be better then this!

Rant over!

Up Da Gate!!!

This is a topic that was gone through a few weeks ago. Yes there are players locally who no doubt could ney would do a job for the club. What is there situation,Have they come forward. If not, why not.Have they been put forward. If not,why not. You won't get many managers more approachable than our's. If you stand at a door and don't knock no ones going to answer it.I don't know if these guys you talk about have tried,if so how hard.If they don't answer first time knock again, keep knocking til someone here's you, show them you want it.Send CK an E.mail,pester,pester,pester.We all know the only if someone had given me a chance syndrome.Good luck ,if you have it and try hard enough you will make it.

i am not going to answer this comment, but ask you,how many managers and teams could have coped any better than Ck with the situation he had on saterday. The big problem is the strikers,Please prove me wrong. Because of the problems sesay,Covering for Greg Oates, Donnovan covering for Smith,Donnovan in only his (forgive me if i'm wrong)2nd appearence,Bertie Braly not there,No Leon Braithewaite and no Warren Ryan.Ofcourse we played long balls, the Problem was we had little adolph,up there who is never in a million years going to win an arial battle, who needs some one to consistantly play of,and Elis Remy who is as slow in the thought department as Big Darren. You can understand why he as slipped through so many clubs in a short space of time. What is your Answer?.

Good post Blueblood, understand people getting upset re Saturday but KP did say players will still come & go until January so we have still got a few months to put up with changes yet. We just have to stick in there &, I am sure, the good times will return, albeit with a few better players hopefully.
