All year it's looked like most of them are just there for the money. Had to say this now as this result has left me feeling c**p. The thought of another relegation doesn't bear thinking about.

what can i say this is getting a joke now.... cant have more excuses of still bonding blah blah, there was no team work no passion and skill, 2 shots on target all game and they were poor at best. chelms wernt a good side but we made them look great if we dont sort this side out fast we are going to be bashing the bottom end of the table.

we should seriously look at repacing several of the team. and play 4-4-2

on another note why do they sell bottles and keep the screw top lids, i was told its in case we chuck the lids. so if thats the case why cant we throw the bottle also?......
as from now im gonna take my own drink in as it will have a lid so they will loose out on my cash there.

I completely agree with you, Legend. But as long as CK is manager we will always play with wing backs. IMO 4-4-2 would suit us with Sesay at RM. He is weak defensively but could thrive with more attacking opportunities. With the players we have now 4-4-2 is the way I agree. 5-3-2 is a mismatch and the way it's going it is putting us in trouble.

There are now no excuses. CK has a decent budget by the looks of things, the players have had nearly half a season to bed in, and they have to get on with it now. I hope he makes this perfectly clear in training. Making excuses just takes the pressure of the players and they are less likely to give it everything as most of them are just there for the money IMO.

I agree with all that has been said. It really isnt fun anymore & it certainly was a dire performance. I think it was around the 70th minute before we had a shot on goal. Enough with the excuses, it needs sorting out now. Players in wrong positions,no idea of how to pass a simple ball, giving it away all the time,no compassion,no movement, terrible ball control, still sitting back having to soak up pressure.I could go on & on but dont want to forced into a long post.

Am truly embarrassed again. Each time I think it cant get worse it does. How those faithful 700 or so supporters keep going back is beyond me. I shall be there Tuesday but EXPECT a much better performance or even I may give up going & that is something I never thought I would ever say. We lost to a team that themselves only had a handful of shots and again as mentioned elswhere above we make a crap team look good.Just shows how bad we were dosent it?

this lot are without doubt the worst group of so called players to play for us in many a year.no skill no passion and no team work.the manager has to take full responsibility cos he chose the players and the stupid system we play is his and his alone.so its down to him to sort it out or clear off.heis lucky to still have a job after 2 relegations so the excuses have all been used up now.people will not part with hard earned money to watch this sort of rubbish for long

Porka, you are 100 per cent right. There can be no more excuses for soulless performances like today and Cray. We have a decent pitch and decent crowds (second only to AFC Wimbledon)but there appears to be no passion in the players so maybe we need to look at CK's position. As any manager he cannot be above criticism and the buck stops with him. I can't recall the last time if ever he played 4-4-2 and he has had money for the first time in ages to bring players in but appears to have brought the wrong players in (Hilaire, Standen for example) and let the better players go (Sacha, Green). He cannot seem to motivate the team any more and cannot decide who he should be playing and where and persists with the wing back system even when it clearly isn't working. Just look at all the players we have had since the start of the season. The new directors and developers have put their money into the club and will start wanting some sort of return on the pitch. Next saturday V Dartford is crucial for CK imo. I now I will probably get lambasted by the CK can do no wrong brigade but If we do not get the right result then I think serious questions need to be asked about whether he can take us any further.

Mike, IMO you are right to question CKs position. He chose the system, he has brought in by and large the wrong players. Ryan seems like a good signing. Mitten good too but we knew that. But so many poor ones. Far too many.

Not being funny here but from what I've heard there are a lot of former players from not so long ago that don't know how CK has gained respect from players as he finds man management difficult.

Don't get me wrong he has been brilliant but with a completely new squad here and little in the way of leadership it makes you wonder if CK has the ability to lead from the top. In the past we have had great leaders on the pitch.

With 5-3-2, your wingers have to be your best players. However, finding decent wingers at any level is very difficult. I have to agree that we should switch our formation. On the other hand, I have every faith in CK to be able to change it around (even if we play 5-3-2). Keep the faith!

I hear that Andy Ford is job hunting.
He is vastly experienced, has a reputation for improving teams with a limited budget, and only lives 50 minutes away..
Sounds like you are having the same problems that we are.

Great news about Gillingham, though!

I would love to see Andy Ford get the job if CK left. Just what we need right now IMO. He would give all these half hearted players a kick up the backside.

Can only agree with all of the above. Remy was outstandingly poor. Another poor refereeing display I thought ( although he was only twelve years old ).

Unfortuneately for us the league tables do not lie. Urgent signings and reshaping is necessary. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

[color:"blue"]The problem we have this season has been the lack of stability in the side. Chris appears to be chasing success, in past seasons his greatest asset has been the ability to field a virtually unchanged team week-in, week-out . This season he is trying to build a squad from scratch and is fiddling with squad on a week-to-week basis (this week we were told he's looking at two more new players). To date we haven't named the same starting XI for two games running, of todays starting XI only Charlie Mitten, Bill Edwards, Hasim Deen, John Keister and Dean Standen started against Maldon Town. This must be contributing to the sense we are are not a TEAM, just 11 individuals in the same colour shirts.

We have two good wingers in Sessay & Brayley. If only they were played in those positions we would be getting behind their defence and causing them no-end of problems. Try it Chris and you will see what I mean.Unfortunately,on todays performance it wouldnt surprise me to see Bertie want to go eleswhere rather waste his talents on a team who between them seem incapable of showing anything. If I am to be slated for my posts on todays performance then please tell me where a good pass was made, where a player managed to actually control the ball(basics surely),where the passion was and will to win,and I will call them a liar or that they must may have been watching another game over on Garlinge rec. Even a game over there would have seen improvement on all the points I make.

I didnt say he was playing did I Steve. I was pointing out the fact that whilst those two players are known to be on our books, whether it be full time/part-time/on loan or whatever then they are the wingers we have at this club that can do the job well, that an above post mentions are both needed and which we do not have at present.WE DO HAVE THEM AT THIS CLUB SO PLAY THEM THERE!!!!
