What a disgrace ! Why do they bother...and please don't give me the excuse that the club should provide the information to them...They read our web site for the gossip parts of the messageboard so why can't they get things right from the main site..it's not rocket science these days !!

Quite rightly Burnham take centre stage for the local coverage, but we are 2 columes and a small picture...

SYOB/Windsor/Maidenhead get bigger coverage...

They could not even put the attendance of last week match v wealdstone ! put xxx in there !

In fact This game apart from the Windsor game was the biggest 380 attended...

Now the Fixtures for next week !!!

Mention Windsor playing in the League cup, but no Slough Fixture at all !!! for this coming tuesday !

When we too are in the league cup ...at Home to Redbridge in the 3rd round of the league cup...

kick off 7-45pm

What a disgrace... have not seen a reporter their all this season...

If their want to speak to us on gossip types issues, they call...so its not that difficult to get information on fixtures ??

From a very angry Slough supporter...

Chris sliski / personal

its ok gary, not having go at you...also the fixtures are on the offical ryman league site...

Yes but as a jounalist its also your job to contact the club too, its funny they have no problems when it suits....

so no excuses.....Fixtures change and get re arranged, these are the reason to just check !

Gary and Chris B you do such a great job for the club and are normally on the ball for the clubs issues (fixtures -league / capital League fixtures ,why can,t you take up the one min of your time and call the sports desk...to give the correct information to them ???

Not a mention of the capital league fixture this past week either in the paper....But SYOB reserve news was in there...

If you don't want to do this ...I can.... just let me know... cheers chris

If they produce crap in their paper - dont buy it!

The media is only there to twist facts as that sells papers!!!!

Those slough fans who care know the truth and dont need to read the spin and missrepresentation of these bottom of the pile papers - if there "journalists" were any good they would be on a proper paper!!!!

But then if the club do not submit information through the website, the main source of information is being provided through the paper(s) (mainly the Observer admittedly), what hope do we have?

There are time constraints on how much we can do with the people for the site in terms of getting information and spending time speaking with people for getting information, so hopefully it is something we can work on and start getting more information put through the website first and then the papers, so no spin is applied on the stories, they can be given as is.

I know Burnham (Alan King) and Beaconsfield (Andy Fitzsimons) send out a press release early every monday to the Express/Observer/Star FM every week with the latest info on games. Probably something we should do as then no information would be wrong.

I agree Chris. It is something Slough Town FC should be doing.

Recently I had been putting an email across to them about our matches and results, and they have now got into the habit of mentioning our results now which is good.

I think if we can keep the website up to date with fixtures and at least brief reports of matches (that's all they will want to air anyway), that should be enough to copy and paste that info in an email to them and refer them to where it came from. They've certainly improved recently though, so minor credit to them.

Star FM has improved yes but it is more general release that needs to be going to both the local rags as well. It is something the club i.e. Roy should be doing and not leaving for you or the Trust to do on a voluntary ad hoc basis.

Disagree that Roy should be doing something like that. He's already tied up with too much stuff which others could be doing as it is. Reading the programme our press officer is John Tebbit, so perhaps they should be coming out from him?

For match reports, the Observer have Gary at the home matches and Chris does reports for the away ones (or they nick whatever we put on the site and paraphrase it), and the Express are usually there in some form (I think), so match reports aren't an issue for them.

I'll get something pieced together for the three of them to send out each Sunday/Monday with the weeks news (if any), fixtures and reports from those matches.

Fair enough if John is the press officer it is down to him. Personally think it is the job of someone employed by the club but there we go. The issue really of concern is publishing our fixtures and kick off times - the rest is already dealt with.
