Just been on the Salisbury forum as I had a hunch that the ressie game had been rearranged for last night. I was right, unfortunately we were hammered 5-1 apparently. Don't know the line up or scorer although from reading the messages on their forum they put out a decent side.

I'm presuming no one went from Slough?

Line up was:

Parkin, Andrew Jasinowski, Alan Lague, Dan Willment, Adam Jasinowski, Paget, Mark Kwiatkowski, Alexis, Miller, Sean Keller.

Sub:

Emil Muilmieks (on for Willment, 55)

One down inside two minutes and three down halfway through the first half against a Salisbury side containing seven first team players.

Our goal came in the first half with a great solo run from Kwiatkowski. Getting on the end of a through ball, he burst through two defenders and beat the keeper.

Our defending wasn't the greatest and individual errors led to their goals, so there's plenty to work on for the young team.

Sorry to let you down guys but there were not 7 Salisbury first team players in the teamlast night. There were several who have played first team football in the past, but not one of the players who played last night are in the starting 11.

Hope your lads all had a safe journey home in what must have been realy bad driving conditions.

Most of our team were first team squad players, none of whom were in the starting line up for the previous Saturdays league game - team included the 5 unused 1st team subs plus a couple of players returning from long term injury. It's what we joined the Capital League for, we have a squad rather than a 'first team' and a 'reserve team'.

Good goal by your number 7 who was impressive throughout in the centre of midfield.

'First team', 'second team', 'third class', fourth protocol', fifth element', 'sixth sense', 'seven brides for seven brothers'.

We seem to have a very sound family at the Ray Mac these days. They all gel well, and there's less discord than at a Hare Krishna Conference.[We have a GREAT new signing too ]
But to describe the Slough Reserves to be playing "against a Salisbury side containing seven first team players" is to be spinning more than Shane Warne and Peter Mandelson together. [No homo-erotic collusion implied!]

Hope you guys do okay this season.

When our Reserves play yours at Stag meadow you'd better cheer very loudly!

Forgot to add my plaudits for the number 7, but especially your number 8, the guy with the Afro hairstyle.

He looked so confident, and so natural with the ball that I think you've got a real winner there.

Strong in the tackle, quick and agile, very fast, and with great reactions. Good skill, an easy touch. Well able to interact with others. Good awareness, and an appreciation of the situation which is clearly beyond his time spent in learning experience.

But apart from that.....
