Five out of five now after a win at Chesham.

 

Apparently, haven't seen the team sheet yet, Den put out a few first teamers to see what sort of players he has.

WEFC : Gardiner; Elford; Dirou; Woodcraft; Sato; Blatchford; Batchelor; Maqsood; Case; Cox; Morris. SUBS : Adou (for Sato 65); Turner (for Batchelor 75). Unused sub : Hayes.

Against a strong Chesham side, WEFC scored in the 1st minute after a fantastic move involving Morris and Cox, which Maqsood finished off with a volley. The strength of Chesham's side meant that WEFC had to concede possession for a lot of the game, but worked hard to stay in front. Conceded an equaliser early in 2nd half, though it looked offside, when WEFC failed to clear their box. Played well defensively, and worked hard to keep Chesham at bay. Paul Dirou impressed in his first game, and WEFC kept Chesham down to 2 or 3 meaningful efforts on goal, despite all their possession. Five minutes from time, a scramble in the box, led to Paul Dirou poking the ball into the net to snatch the points for WEFC. Probably our poorest display this season in terms of passing and moving, but with several teenagers in the side, and others new to this level, this is going to happen. The work ethic remains good. Dennis Greene congratulated us after the game in the clubhouse !

A fair report on a poor game,conditions were bad and the ref and lineo certainly missed the handball in the WEFC area before Chesham scored from close in. Neither keepers were troubled although the Chesham 1St team keeper did make on good save to prevent Windsor going further in front. Dennis and Scotty were complimentry on the attitude to the work put in by the ressies. well done 5 out of 5., 11.goals for 3 against.
