oh really webbo.....well if you ALL know that you will know that his post was libellous and indeed libel cases you understand very well...

 

georges action was against HFCL not me and not afch....thats it...end of...

 

as for moving on...yes indeed I believed we had....until one of your officials came onto our forum last night and posted that garbage....and in doing so effectively tarnished what was a pleasant evening...

 

you should be remonstrating with him mate...not attempting to justify his foolish and unwarranted comments...

 

the mans a fool and an embarrasment to himself and your club...

As I said earlier I thought the threat of lawyers over a remark on a messageboard was a bit over the top. If you think that is reasonable then we disagree. It won't be the first time!

 

As you point out, I do have some knowledge of libel law and most of the time, in my opinion, initiating action is a complete waste of that time.

 

I'm not trying to justify anything or anyone Unc. We are all responsible for our own 'contributions' on here.

 

I'm sorry you feel your enjoyment of the evening has been tarnished, we do our best to entertain our guests.

Bridgey, I too am a fan of the up & coming IRON BURGER. Yes, with the benefit of vast quantities of ale, it can be a challenge - but I feel you could be up to it!

Let's hope it's not too long before you are able to return to sample another!

webbo...the fool needed stopping from posting his nonsense and I stopped him in his tracks.....thats it...you and I both know that I am far to busy to worry about serial drivel posters on forums....there were smiley faces next to the remarks so hardly a UU flair up now was it....we all had a larf at his expense... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

the man's a complete and utter fool and an embarrasment to you and to your club....he's also the worst match day announcer I have ever had the displeasure to have to listen to but as you say...we all have differing opinions... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

 

there is one thing however that puzzles me somewhat.....

We each have our styles of 'enforcement' Unc.

He may be no angel, but he's part of our 'family', warts & all and causes me little embarassment - life's too short after all. He does his best and that's all you can ask eh?

If I worried about all the crap that's been posted about me & Borgie I'd be in an asylum by now ...

changing onto a positve subject...that pitch last night was excellent and a credit to the groundsman....

 

I also noticed that the swimming pool for the car park luxury flat development has gone in earlier than anticipated webbo.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
