After seeing the article with your name and picture in the local I thought

I would add my views,I have spent all my life on the sea around here 33 years as a lifeboatman so I do know what I

am talking about,the position where they are going to build their iceburg is in the worst possible place they could put it

as it will get all the backwash from the from the existing pier as the reflected waves meet incoming seas.

I stood on the sea front at Margate in 1953 and watched the lighthouse wash away during the spring tides

and severe Northerly gales,there was a picture in the East Kent of the flooding,and on the very spot they have chosen

is a wave going up 100 feet,it is sheer folly to build it there as it will only wash away or rust away.

It is a case of fools step in where wise men fear to tread, just because a few buisiness men want to get richer,

we are going to be paying for something only a minority want and it will not be the slightest benefit to the

majority of us.
