Any truth in this I read on the Ryman site??...

The Conference are very picky about any fiscal irregularities. K's & St Albans won't be acceptable this season to them. 1st place only accepted as well, so the irony is that if either one finishes top, the rest are buggered and the Ryman will not be sending anyone up this time around.

It's not the first time I've heard we won't be eligible, actually. <img src="/forums/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" />

I've heard it as well. I think the actual rule is '...placed in administration within the past two seasons' which technically doesn't apply to us but the Conference has a history of rejecting clubs with financial 'irregularities' (Enfield for example). I don't expect anybody will know until the season's finished and the Conference have a meeting to decide whether the Ryman champions meet their requirements.

Hi Rob.

"Technically"? "Technically" has nothing to do with it. The company has NOT been placed in administation with the last two years, or indeed, as far I know, ever.

Where does that rule come from? Let me know and I'll look it up.

Oh, by the way. Did you have anything to do with the fiction on the Latest News section of the site concerning Scott Oakes or was it Le Patronne?

I believe at one stage there was something about the conference which said that they favoured teams with 3 years worth of operating profits. That said, it's been a long time since my beloved Chesham has had to worry about that...

To be honest with you I think the conference panel have a whole set of reasons they could apply to reject an application. That said there haven't been many rejections recently and I would think they might take a bond for any team they were unsure of financially.

And you can thank us later for doing the shots. They weren't very happy you know, if you saw Barthez against Fulham yesterday, our keeper did the same, to stop them scoring a last minute penalty, funny old life!

Technically - All Admistrative purposes are required to show a clean bill of healthy accounts and no financial irregularities what-so-ever that would in true be evaluated within the period examination bound by the 'inland revenue' and any other higher/lower authoritive body or bodies having been involved or not at any stage within said period!!
