Thanksgiving

Had a chat with Costello last night, and he said he'd give me an answer today as to whether he and Lucy (Costello) can make the Thanksgiving night.

Lets hope they can. I suppose he's torn between Thanksgiving and Ramadam.

Have you decided on a menu yet, i hope it will be suitably exciting and not some dried out old bird with seriously overcooked veg.

The turkey will always be the main dish on Thanksgiving, but there will be oh so much more. A veritable feast!

Why are we adopting all these American customs? Trick or treat is bad enough with gangs of kids roaming the streets terrorising old age pensioners.

For me, Thanksgiving signals the start of the holiday season. Mulled wine, Bristol Cream and Mrs Z's top-notch coffees.

 

The holiday season will hopefully be extra special in the Zeal household this season as Kris Kringle visits young Master Dylan for the first time.

 

With the altering back of the clocks, I really feel like Fall is here now. "This is my favourite time of the year".

Actually, it's more of a harvest festival (do we still have those?) first celebrated by the Plymouth pilgrims after their first year in America in 1621. OK, I looked that bit up.

I noticed in Waitrose that they suggest Squash chowder for starters followed by maple syrup glazed turkey finished off with cranberry and apple tarte tatin.

 

What will your veritable feast consist of.

Will the turkey come in Margherita flavour so Gertch can enjoy his meal.

That could work, giving the turkey a sweet nutty taste and a bit of a punch, would certainly complemet the cramberry sauce.
