my sources tell me that that Tilbury, Hornchurch, Concord & Romford have just 7 days (from Saturday) to re-arrange their next round fixture in the trophy under league rules!

 

one slight snag they do not know who they are playing - LOL - sorry Tilbury do - they will play Hornchurch!!

 

these four teams are playing in the next round of the vase on the same day as the GBT. Of course as there are only 8 teams it effectivly means the trophy gets delayed anyway.

No mention in this weeks centrespot - which means the earliest they can inform clubs/fans is next week - less than a fortnight before the games are due to take place. Most clubs will not be able to tell their fans of the cup draw until either the 12th or in the case of Tilbury not until after the planned date of the comp!!!

Listen pal, when you have been in the ESL as long as we have you come to expect these things as second nature. Like Enfield Town v Romford midweek (twice), Romford v Hornchurch the Saturday before Xmas, duelling banjos at committee meetings, cup finals arranged at grounds with no phone and no beer most of the time!!

But would we change it?

indeed coup - it often has been bad in the past, doesn't explain why that should continue! Communication is improving. There is no excuse...
