Anyone else disappointed with the volume of support from the masses of Wombles. They had a few singing every onw and then but why were they not singing loud and proud and cheering their team on to another victory.

I am also suprised by the disparity between home and away crowds, it's not exactly long distances in this league yet they have an average crowd of 2,659 at home and only just scrape over the 1,000 away (excluding Hampton game).

Please don't think i believe them to be poorly supported, but I would have thought the fans would relish going to new grounds and experiencing the Ryman league.

One last thing, there isn't much in this division and Wimbledion must be the richest club in it, I would have expected them to run away, or at least be in the top two challenging.

Well done yesterday Wombles, you gave a display of how to beat a poor team (not always the easiest thing to doa t this level), it is very easy to get cocky and carried away but you played well and good luck for the season.

Well we were certainly deafened by the wall of noise coming from the home fans...

Sadly for your team, ours hardly needed any vocal encouragement to win at a canter. It was reminiscent of some of our CCL walk-overs where we were even able to rest good players early in the second half.

Good luck for the rest of the season. It looks you're going to have a struggle to stay up.

Got to admit i was dissapointed. Seemed like they had two groups of people making the noise one behind the goal and one under the chicken run. If they joined together i'm pretty sure they'd make alot of noise!

Thing is there isn't many sides that really make any noise at all in these leagues

Fuzzy, AFC Wimbledon have already played Slough Town at Stag Meadow twice, so your point about relishing visiting new grounds is pretty invalid.

Except that only a minority of AFC supporters attended those games (under 1000). Therefore, there would be many AFC followers for whom Stag Meadow would be a new ground. Accordingly, Fuzzys point is, on the contrary, extremely valid.

Well, we focus on quality, not quantity. However, a high percentage of WEFC followers do actually go to away games, but 90% of 10 is only 9.

A little oversensitive and verging on paranoia methinks. It's a discussion on the WEFC forum, You don't have to read it you know.

Fuzzy, i thought it was always said an average away following was around 10% of your home support so 850 approx on Saturday wasn't too shabby. If it makes you feel any better i've been at all 4 games we have played at Stag Meadow and i quite like the ground!!

I guess with 4 games, it's possible a lot of our fans have been to at least one of them so not a new ground to many maybe?

Not sure on why you term us the 'richest' club (maybe due to average home crowd?). Don't forget we still have a debt to service so word has it that there are several clubs paying higher wages than we do, so maybe our current league placing reflects that.

Good luck for the season, hope to return next season (maybe twice!).

Some of you seem to miss the point. at this level you do not get 10% of your fans folowing your team away you get a much higher percentage folowing, mostly due to the short travelling distance and the fact you will rarely get turned away at the door.

I was not rubbishing the size of support you get, it is fantastic the level of interest you can generate at such a low level, even when not running away with the league. I was merely stating that a majority of your fans don't bother to travel to away games and in answer to an earlier point, no i am not happy with 1,000 when it could have been 2,000 or 3,000 (where we would put them all and where you would park is another story altogether!!).

As for the point about our level of support, Windsor is not a football town nor has it had a team play at the top level of football, so I would expect your fans to outnumber ours by about ten to one.

i would say you are the richest club in the league due to the large crowds at home, just because you don't pay the highest wages may be because you refuse to pay big money for average players (we all know about that down at the stag!!).

Anyway, hope we stay up and you stay down (no offence intended) so we can get another bumper crowd and pay off a few more debts.
