Labour have lost my vote!

The war was bad enough

The goverment white paper on the railway that means we are moving to Liverpool Street is bad enough

But now they are hell bent on banning the booze train!

Not only is this bang out or order it's badly thought out, how do they intend to police this???? Will ticket inspectors now become alcohol confiscators as well, don't you think they get enough grief off ticketless passengers without having to wade into fare paying passengers and stealing their stella's. So what do we do, we call the already stetched British Transport Police with an average response time of 4 hours, the train sits in the platform waiting clocking up fines of up to a grand a minute for the Train Operating Company, which in turn is sent right back to us in fares!

It has nothing to do with curtailing binge drinking, we already have drunk and disorderly laws, these also extend to the railway so if people are drunk on trains they can be arrested this way, it's spoiling it for people who may like a couple of cans on long distance journeys.

Total Crap!!!

I heard about this, this morning. What about the Eurostar? Will they ban serving alcohol on there?

Yep!

Even long distance services that serve wine with meals will be outlawed.

And saying you'll fly instead also won't work, as like buses, they want to ban it on aeroplanes as well.

Think how much cash the low budget airlines make on their overpriced beverages, that profit margin will have to be made up elsewhere, and you can bet it won't go on pricing up their already expensive sweets and soft drinks. It'll be stuck on the fares!

Not that this'll affect you YELLOW as by the time you've drunk your two cans of John Smiths I doubt it'll of had any effect on you

Just heard the latest, this new law is because of late night violence on trains and buses, well these people are already drunk and aren't going home with cans on them!

Idiotic!

Haha!

All these years you've claimed it's your social conscience that has made you vote for Labour.

Then suddenly, they make one annoucement that they may stop you getting lashed up on the trains, and you decide to chuck your social conscience out of the window and not vote for them any more!

You crack me up!

Oh, and I don't know if you realise this mate, but it's also actually illegal to take Class A drugs on trains too!

Not sure which party will reverse that one, mate!
