TODAYS MATCH

Finished 2-2. West with a great lob (can't wait to see it again) and an own goal late on as Slough pushed their hosts back for the best part of the last twenty minutes. Started 4-4-2 but reverted to 3-5-2 late on in the second half as some real pressure was applied by Slough and they dominated Wealdstone and got their just reward in the final minute.

Radders would like me to add - "The own goal scorer was a lovely fellow, who came on as a sub and had three meaningful touches. The first was on Hodges face, the second on Ballards face and the third to score a wonderful own goal (after being blatently pushed by Hodges). AWESOME!!."

Great strike for the Stones second goal as well.

Line up was:

Parkin, Carbon, Ballard, Daly, Avery, Woodruffe, Wilkinson, L. Mason, Hodges, Brooks, Miller.

Subs:

West (for Miller)

Paget

Good to see more pressure on the goal with a number of shots either on or very near the target.

Think both Brooks and Ballard were unlucky with some of their attempts which went just wide.

Defence still worries me.

If we can only get 5% more goals and reduce the number we let in by 5% it will change our position dramatically.

Well done the team.

Thought we were unlucky today, just needed a more luck in front of goal, yes we got that in the last minute, but we had chances that went agonisingly just wide or just out of reach of a touch.

In all thought it was a good game and thought Wealdstone were a good side and scored two cracking goals.

Personally thought the defence was ok! Daly was dominant and Avery did well!

Draw was fair.

Oh, and God scored! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Could have walked away with a thumping win if we'd been more fortunate in front of goal. Their first was shocking defending (no surprise there) and you can't legislate for a goal like their second. What a screamer!

Great chip from Westie and how fitting was it that their THUG number fifteen got the equaliser?! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Feels like a victory. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />
