I have to agree it has been a bit quiet at New Lodge for a while now.Time to get the song books out again and warm the old cockles up with a version of where's the vaseline! <img src="/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" />

i am a bit disappointed as i was certainly under the impression that the coach would be free if we won the game agst heybridge.

firstly i would like to thank gary calder jnr for his sponsorship thus far this season. it is in a good part down to him that we have had such good travelling support this year and i would like to think the fans have contributed to our decent away form this year with their support. having said that gc jnr can spend his cash how he likes and giving the team more time to prepare is great.

i do however think its very harsh to blame the fans who went to the heybridge game for lack of a sponsored coach. the weather was crap and the game was hastily arranged agst a side who brought few fans (esp for a local derby) so praps a low turnout was expected. surely the fans who turn up for this sort of game are the most loyal rather than those who just turn up for the big games (altho they are welcome to of course)

i am going to go to havant pay or not (all being well) but there are some people who maybe now wont be able to make the trip (youngsters, oaps, unemployed even!!!!)...altho some may argue about the relative merits of league and cup for me the cup game is miles more important than a league game agst aldershot or anyone else and we should be doing everything we can to get as many people to the game as poss.

btw i still think 8 quid is good value so lets hope we get plenty on board.

I note your comments but at the end of the day GC Racing has sponsored 3 of our Coaches so far this season.

The BTSA had no plans to get this Coach sponsored but can confirm that GC Jnr will be putting his money towards the teams preparation for the big game.

We have priced the Coach at the cheapest we can and as you say £8 is an exceptional price when we travelled to Bognor nearly 2 years ago the cost was £10 for Adults. To bring this in comparision Havant are charging approx £12 to travel to Chelmsford when they play them.

I hope this will not turn people away as we all new that we would have to pay to travel at some point. If you take into a count the 3 sponsored Coaches that is a saving so far this season to the supporter who travelled of over £20 (10+ pints).
