Cap Leauge Slough Berko

Recommended Posts

Slough 2 Berkhamstead 0

Berko put out a young looking side against the usual mix of Slough reserves and trialists.

Known slough players Adam Paget, Jonny Mason, Abbu Bizzi, Michael Parkin, plus others who Radders will tell us about I am sure, he was last seen trying to get names at the end of the game.

Both goals in the second half, cant rememeber who scored as it was "only" capital leauge!

Large turn out of about 25 hardcore fans, not like those glory hunters who will only go to a game if there is a coach to the other side of london on a tuesday night!!!!

Good discussion about the Burnham game and where we will be squating next season, how Roger is going to put up his shed, how the forthcoming elections will change the political face of Slough, also someone was letting off fireworks which the ref found entertaining, and everyone was avoiding Jock to not have to hear about his holiday to sweden and his trip UP and Down the fjord. In other words a normal "having a laff" game.

Just to prove Staines right here I am!!!

Slough line up

1. Michael Parkin

2. Adam Jasnikowski

3. Johnny Wilson

4. Andre Jasnikowski

6. Adam Paget

7. Marek Kwiatkowski

8. Sean Keller

9. Darren Moore

10. Jonny Mason

11. Assu Bizzy

12. Ross Herridge

(Adam Kassim should have been Number 5 but he was deemed unfit in the warm-up)

Subs

14. Arron Clark (came on for Andre Jasnikowski)

15. Emils Moilnieus (came on for Marek Kwiatkowski)

Goals were scored by Sean Keller just before half time by an inswinging cross/shot free kick which curled into the far corner. Darren Moore secured the victory midway through the second half with a cool finish after he was put in by substitute Emils Moilnieus.

There were some good individual performances throughout, notably No's 4,7,8,9 and 12 (who looked like Avery only good albeit in the Capital League).

As Staines has already stated the following was top drawer with six hardcore fellows behind the goal (myself, Staines, Roger, Dom, Webb the Elder and Mike Bezzina). Their keeper did not respond well to my grunting before his goalkicks, slicing the ball to our strikers 3 out of the 4 times that I tried it. Highlight of the match was obviously my cracking pass to our free kick taker after I was forced to jump the fence and retrieve the ball as none of the players seemed the slightest bit interested. The linesman was most impressed and immediately offered me a trial (with who I'm not sure).

All in all, one of the greatest nights of my life. No, really!!!

Probably Reading Crown Court for riotous behaviour and pitch invasion........... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/busted.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/busted.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/busted.gif" alt="" />

Get yourselves in to Beaconsfield, they have no planning restrictions on the number of games played, the ground is up to scratch, the pitch looked better than ever when I was up there last week and I know for sure that they would welcome you with open arms [well, provided you could assure them on the finance front I expect] and it must be more beneficial financially for you, I cant see them stitching you up for £35k or whatever! What with their PASE scheme and youth in place I bet they would even share the cost of running a combined reserve team with you was well and if you both stay in seperate Leagues maybe you could both support each others first team if either of you get shortages. Just a thought?
