£6 to get in

Eastside Urchin

he was at it all through the game triggs....some of the stuff he came out with was embarrasing and even the other 6 tilbury fans gave him a wide berth...his abuse of the female lino was so crude it belied belief...especially for a game that was in effect 'a friendly' <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

there's always one mate and it brings it home to us all how important it is to draw the line between healthy banter and crude abuse...

its funny how the ones with no fans are moaning coz we have some, the fact of the matter was not many people used to turn up at the bridge years ago coz no one knew when we were playing, not even the locals,i used to walk round the corner on a saturday as a youth hoping that there was a game on!!

Don't think there is any set price at this level. We charged a £5 back in 2002 on our return while most other clubs were charging £4.

As for programmes included in the price, it was the norm with a lot of football league clubs around 20 years ago, but quite a few ESL clubs have done it over the years, but some gatemen tend to forget to reduce the price when the progs have sold out!

>>i just wonder if there normal prices were £4 and £2 for kids and because the urchins turned up they put the prices up!!

The prices were on a board outside the entrance, and they had not been amended.

I was asked if I was eligible for the concession rate, but said no - to which the gateman said to me "all the others say they are".

From memory, the lowest admission so far was the £4 at Hullbridge, plus £1 for the programme, and I seem to recall paying £1.50 for a programme somewhere.

I did not think the £6 was unreasonable, as the programme was included, so it was no more than elsewhere - HFC is £5 plus £2 for the programme, so it evens out.

I strongly object to places like East Thurrock ripping us off, but I do not think that Tilbury did anything wrong. I had not noticed the £4 charge - but could this be £3 concession plus £1 for the programme, with a free programme only for those who pay the £6?
