I'm not interested in what "model professionals" these players are. If that was the case, then Klinsmann would undoubtably be top of the list as he conducted himself superbly in his one season.

 

I'm talking talent, skill, goal-scoring... the things that matter on the pitch.

 

Cantona, Zola, Klinsmann and Bergkamp were all better players than Thierry Henry.

bergkamp struggled in europe coz he don't fly,something i can relate to

for me bergkamp is the greatest player i have ever seen

the greatest strike partnership was

schevchenko and rebrov for dynamo kiev when they spanked us,another 70'000+ crowd

It certainly does count. Good competition that, and before the days of runners-up and 3rd/4th place teams being allowed to enter the "Champions" League (err... let's re-name the comp, please), it was a very prestigious tournament.

I don't like the attitude that cups like the Cup-Winners Cup and the Carling Cup aren't worth winning.

Tends to only come from arrogant supporters of the very top club.

I never called you a small club. That would be absurd.

Arsenal are a big club. As are Man Utd, Liverpool, Everton and Spurs. They have the history and worldwide support to prove this.

Newcastle and West Ham claim to be big clubs, but have very little support outside of their catchment area.

you have made me very happy!!!

when united won the european cup they shouldn't of even been in it,this year we shouldn't be in it,and last year chelsea shouldn't of been in it

but i must admit it is a good comp in its new format

You just have to see how crap the UEFA cup is now to see how devalued european compy is.

TalkSport have just said Middlesborough next UEFA game is against the team 2nd from bottom in the Ukrainian league WTF!!!

 

Bring it back how it was - first couple in the champions

cup winners in the cup winners

UEFA 3rd - 6th place

 

perfect, and lose the UEFA cup league format!

We've won the Cup-Winners Cup ourselves, so perhaps these Spurs fans you talk of need to learn their history.

Can i remind you it was Zola who led the way as chelsea beat Barcelona in the champions league, to see us fall 6 minutes short of knocking them out in the return leg.

 

The cup winners cup was a great competition and any silverware is worth winning. I am sure Man utd fans would agree, especially after last terms potless campaign.
