Not really . it was the nearest club to my humble abode in my formative years, which I guess is the same reason for most if not all of us.

 

But some non leaguers now seem to wear it as a badge of pride, of some sort of status of being a real football fan, which is complete bollox.

My Dad took me to the Fleet when i was 8. The only time i ever supported the same team as him. His other team was Arsenal!

Then I was hooked.

Although a ten year season ticket holder and shareholder,I am not currently around Stonebridge Road much these days due to family and work commitments but am known by friends and contacts as a Fleet supporter in a world of Premiership/ Championship hype.

I actually got involved by winning a shirt on a GNFC in the community scheme so I thought as I had a shirt I'll go and watch. Went to watch a few times with my dad, he didn't like it, but I was already hooked, I was only about 10. Luckily I was aloud to go on my own and ever since then I've never turned away. Thats how GNFCITC can help the club <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I Support Gravesend because they have a great atmosphere at the club. They are a great club to watch or support and I always want to go back. Thats probably why I haven't missed a game for 2 seasons running. Long may that continue.
