Sessay played right wing back, with distinction.

I take it Sessay was playing at full back then. Thats a sheer waste of his talents in my book if that was the case. However if he played well thats what matters really.Did he overlap at all? I dont like blowing my own trumpet(others may disagree) but I did say that their defence, when put under pressure are vulnerable. Was this the case tonight. Did they look vulnerable under pressure. Their attack has to be thwarted and snuffed out and if this is done they will be hard pressed to win this league.

Good performance it seems tonight and I am happy that the team showed more commitment,as that seems to be the case.Wasnt there but I think with this more attacking policy, as it sounds it was in the second half we will undoubtedly pick up three points on a more consistent level than has been previously.Time to come out of our shell and do the front-running in games.

No points but an improved attacking display makes me feel better.

I think MargateFan and I are destined to disagree about Sesay. He played right wing-back in the Oates position. He didn't have a clue what he was meant to be doing and other players kept having to tell him where to be. He made a couple of good defensive tackles, but he is not a strong lad and against a team with beefy forwards like Griffiths and Watts he will always come off second best defensively. His throw-ins were truly awful, and I think even MargateFan will agree with me on that! Let's be fair- he has skill on the ball, but with refs at this level he will not be protected.

sessay is only 17,18 next may. i think the under 18s would do well to give him a few run outs,if nothing else to show them where they need to be.

Cookie you are correct about their defence. I was near some club officials who had the same opinion. Nobody wants to take a risk in case it goes wrong. The problem at Fisher is they are under great pressure to succeed. If things aren't going their way they start getting petulant. That was demonstrated this evening after we equalised when their forwards both committed ridiculous bookable offences.

He(Sessay) obviously came into the team to bridge a gap.It sounds very much to me on what I have heard that he did an adequate job. However, given more games he will undoubtedly improve further but i.m.o he is an out-and-out wingman and should be showing off his talents in that position. If CK could give him more games he will I'm sure give us more width and attacking flair but for tonight we should be understanding and thankful that he did,it seems, do a good job,out of position. I never attach myself to any one player but in his case he is a player just waiting to erupt on the scene. He has skill and we need it in the team,no matter what age he is.

Cookie. believe me the boy did good.the pass to remy for the goal was good.If your interested ,my m-o-m was a man who for most part was unnoticed by most and that is because he was doing his job with no frills and no fuss.Bill Edwards. Just my opinion.

Chris, Sessay hasnt been played much and when he has I doubt you saw him. Am I correct? I wasnt there tonight but with the odd times he has come on he has shown skill on the ball, never been afraid to attack the defenders and generally done a good job.He adds flair to the team and all he needs is more match play. I am not going to say that he will end up a *star* player because without him having more time on the pitch we wont know but from what little I have seen of him he has all the ingredients of being an asset to our side, anyones side. One pass dosent make a player of course it dosent but thats not his forteit. His strengths are in his running, his pace and running at opponents. He will always give us a chance of a penalty by having opponents mis-time tackles as he tries to go past them. I may be wrong but I also may be right and he cant do any worse than some that are out there at present surely.

I have missed two matches, Harrow and Worthing. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him do well. He reminds me of Pulman: loved by the fans, but thrown in at a young age and never really able to shine on the pitch. It's very physical at this level and young lads with skill can't always make an impression - especially with little protection from refs. Please nobody think I am anti-Sesay; somehow I just haven't appreciated him as much as some others up till now.

You may be right, I may be right, others may be right, who knows, but until he is given a good run in the side none of us will know.Yes he does seem to be getting the same treatment in a way as Pullman got but judging the two Sessay has much more scope and skill. We shall just have to wait & see but with the incomings and outgoings CK is still planning I rather think Sessay will be one of those going. If they sit on the bench for longer than others it is invariably so with our manager unfortunately.

Unfortunatly i agree Cookie,he may be one of those who go.Unfortunatly CK does'nt have infinite recourses, his brief is to put together a team that will get us out of this league, back into the conference. This year maybe a year to early for the youngster. I don't no if you noticed at Hartsdown on saterday there was a young tall black guy with a brown jacket. He is from sierra leone, as been here 6 months is a striker and though injured at the moment hopes to be with us when it as cleared up.
