Tell me guys, why would an ambitious club with loads of dosh want to employ a manager who was sacked (oops sorry resigned) from a club with no money (ie us) ?

I don't think that the fact he lives 40 minutes drive away really counts as footballing prerequisite qualification do you ?

You guys amuse me no end !

Nobody's said Andy should or will get the job, just that he might apply. There's plenty of managers in this division with less experience than getting a low-budget club into the Conference, keeping them there for two years or so, and being number two at one of the division's top clubs...

I'm not sure whether the Majeed brothers see it like this, but a manager with a respectable record working with restrictive budgets (e.g. Andy) could be said to have more footballing credentials than one working with relatively large budgets (e.g. Garry Hill).

By the way, it was interesting to hear that Graham 'if you tolerate Rix, your children will be next' Rix was offered the Crawley job before receiving his unlikely invitation to Tynecastle.

I dunno , perhaps Dave Whelan the chairman of Wigan may be able to tell you what first attracted him to Paul Jewell.

Ex ' have not got a pot to piss in' Bradford and Sheff Wed.

Not doing to bad now tho'I understand.

Laugh a minute on this forum aint it

I assume Jewell was ordered to save money at Sheff Wed whereas at Wigan, although not one of the wealthiest clubs, he has been given a bit of dosh to strengthen the side. Nevertheless.....they are doing bloody well....surely the best team in Lancashire by far ?!?!

Cheers,
