Support Please.! - Re: Stewards

It has been pointed out to me that as we are looking at a grant to help the club the stewards are under extra pressure at this time to keep the club and spectators in line or else it could possibly jepoardise that grant. We have to be on our best behaviour and that applies to away supporters and the way things are dealt with. Please bear this in mind when slating our stewards.I am by no means defending them if it be the case that some have overstepped the line but we need to come together on this for the sake of the club and the hopeful grants that come with it.I am not saying that we shouldnt be as careful ALL the time but lets try & back up the stewards on this occasion please. Lets unite together and give them the respect & support that we would all give our close friends and relatives.Things may not be all as they seem but on this occasion and because of the grants that the club are seeking give the stewards the benefit of any doubt and try and be thankful that they are here trying to do the best they can for the club. For the sake of the club, its intended grant applications and its good name lets stick together regardless of our thoughts on the subject. We have to be seen as squeaky clean therefore the stewards are doing the best to ensure the club are indeed going by the book(something I am opposed to)and indeed looking to be a well mannered and well run club.

I don't buy that Cookie. Don't see how that could possibly affect the grant at all.

It sounds like we have had our reputation damaged a bit after the way the "jobsworth" stewards went about their job on Saturday. And why the problem letting in a camera man. He wanted to bring a camera in? Oh no, surely he would want to use it as a weapon! Bloody pathetic and rude.

And is it true that one of the stewards swore at the Wealdstone fans in the second half. I wonder who that could have been.

Jobsworths.

WE all have our individual thoughts on this but very few of us were at the incident so we should not be assuming anything or pointing the finger at anyone, including stewards and away fans. Were you at the incident Porka?

I am against the regulation about preventing cameras in.I think thats a joke also but it does remain that they ARE the regulations so as much as we are against this we will have to abide by it for now.I will be sending a personal e.mail to the FA on this subject, for what good it will do.

Lets try and get away from all this now and get on with other football related things.I have made a plea to you all and thats as far as I can go. Its now all down to each individual as to whether they feel it will do any good to continue with this but I feel its time to let go and again,as with the 15 kids the other week put it down to experience and hope that our name hasnt been tarnished too much,no matter who's fault it was. Time to move on. If the stewards had over-reacted then I am sure they will look at their actions and think twice next time. However,if it was this one guy who really was as mouthy as was reported to be then at least we wont see him again at our ground.
