Two gigs this year...

Two gigs left this this year, going to both of them with Gertcha.

 

Duran Duran at Earls Court on 21st December, which should be a cracking night out by all accounts.

 

And Kirsty Crawford in West London on 1st December. Me and Gertcha are particularly looking forward to this one. A brilliant and vibrant singer/songwriter, and quite a looker too!

Zeal did you see that Duran Duran have re-released Greatest Hits but with a DVD as well? I assume it's all the music videos on the DVD.

There is a lot of debate over who had the first music vid. Some people say it was Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody in 1975. It's hardly an earth-shattering 6 minutes of film, though. Four craply edited revolving heads, and a load of live footage.

 

This was only a promotional film for the song anyway, something the Beatles did with Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields nine years earlier.

 

Duran Duran, along with Adam Ant, are generally considered to have pioneered the music video age with the birth of MTV in the early 80s.
