I understand what you are saying Rob old chap, but those two aren't exactly the best of examples.

You could've used Jon Daly for example.

Who else was Browne at by the way?

Stafford Browne has a long C.V. Most recently at Grays. Previously Yeovil. Aldershot and Billericay for sure. Not cup-tied, by the way. Quality front man. Runs the channels well as they say in football.

Over the past six games or so, one of the problems is that chances have been created but they haven't been put away. Presumably this signing is intended to redress that.

Goodbye and good luck to Scott Oakes. The midfield have not performed over the past six games in the way that they did in the first 8. Oakes is a quality player but I suspect that it hasn't been necessary to wash the No 7 shirt for a while. No sweat.

Hi Laz

You probably don't realise it but this is the Canvey Island message board as Webbo sold it to them last year for a figure rumoured to be in the region of £3.5 million. Between them, they've dressed it up to look like ours but it's theirs, believe me.

The Saints web-site is www.sacfc.co.uk. There's no message board due to the exclusion clause in the sale contract, but there is a 'latest news' section. Oakes has been released and we have signed Stafford Browne. While you're there, check out the 'match report'.

You can link [whatever that means] from there to here.
