Full page article on the back of Kent On Sunday with Mr Scally admitting he has had talks with bankers about selling Gillingham's ground to reduce the Club's debts of £650,000 interest only payments a year.

 

The idea is to sell the ground and then lease it back. Finances will be re-structured in the next few weeks but according to the Paper the sale of the ground is not amongst these - at least in the short term.

 

Plans for a new ground remain unaffected.

How many clubs have sold their ground, to lease it back, only then to end up in more trouble?
