Saturday November 5th

It is being investigated, but it will be up to Liam whether he wants to play or whether he thinks that the week off might do the players good.

Unless we pick up any cards against Stevenage, then we wouldn't have any suspensions as both Scott and Jay will have one match bans that they will serve on Saturday against Stevenage.

Keep your eye on the official site for more news.

Dave

Is there any chance of any additional Home Games being re-arranged that you know of, or are you just referring to the Forest Green Away game being brought forward?

Reason I ask - will be sending to press tomorrow a full A1 size poster. This needs to go to press tomorrow, in order for it to be available this Saturday for fans to distribute. This will include the following Home League games:

19/11/05 NC Altrincham H

03/12/05 NC Morecambe H

26/12/05 NC Dagenham & Redbridge H

Perhaps I will email the Club asking them to confirm. Cheers.

Thanks Dave, Harry.

Very well spotted Harry, the FA Cup Second Round Date is for December 3rd. As you say if Morecambe beat Northwich in the First round, our game versus Morecambe will get re-arranged. I'll add something to the Poster that says "Subject to Morecambe not progressing to Second Round of FA Cup."

The posters also have the disclaimer "Fixtures are subject to change and alteration. See www.gnfc.co.uk or local press regarding fixture updates."

Its not easy trying to produce 1 of these darn things when the fixtures chop and change at a minutes notice!

Presumably we will worry about that after Morecambe beat Northwich, after all Conference North sides have been known to beat Conference National sides you know.

Thats why I had to point it out. If they're going to press tommorrow then something needs to be added about it. Jim may not of known about that so I pointed it out to him. You could ignore it and just say all fixtures are subject to change, please check local press, club website ect ect but it is higly likely that Morecambe will be in the next round and the fixture will be changed.

All of these sorts of posters carry a disclaimer, nobody pays any attention to it, but if people can see it has a very good chance of being changed people will be more likely to seek out whether it is or not. They are therefore more likely to seek out the website.

If it's not 'the second division', then what is it? Surely there's a difference between 'the second division' (a generic term for the order of the division in question in the league), and 'Division Two' (a now-defunct term in this age of Coca-Cola branding)?

Yours pedantically...
