Player News

The club are pleased to announce two loan signings joining the club, both on a months loan period. The two players concerned are Nick Gyoury who has joined from Chelmsford with a view to joining the club on a permanent basis and Simon Patterson from First Division Watford.

Nick Gyoury is a strong centre back who in appearance is not dissimilar to Leon Townley. Nick joins for a month and the club have been given permission to use the player in the FA Cup, but the player will not be available for the trip to Lewes unless a deal has been agreed between the two sides before that time. The club will be trying to negociate a deal for Nick should he have a good spell with the club, and if personal terms can be agreed with the player. Nick will be contesting for a place in the starting eleven for this evening's game against Wingate & Finchley.

Simon Patterson is a six foot one striker who is highly rated by Watford fans after making a good impression in a pre-season friendly against Ryman Premier Division St. Albans. The tall striker will be available for both cup competitions and will join Nick in the squad for this evening's game against Wingate.

The two are joined by ex-Maidenhead midfielder Chris Ferdinand who is currently on trial at the club and is expected to play in a friendly on Wednesday evening against Chalfont St. Peter. Directions will be added to the website late this evening.

Rebels Announce Friendly Match

With injuries and suspensions possibly looming, every player can stake their claim for a starting place in the first eleven and will also gain more valuable match experience.

Nick Goury signed for Chelmsford from Enfield. Think he spent some time out with a broken leg earlier last year but saw him several times later in the season and he was very impressive - could be a good one!
