Romford may have last laugh

Sir, you must have just taken up soccer as a hobby. You should realise that supporters of teams playing in close proximity to each other usually engage in banter which includes taking the mickey out of each others poor results. It has always been this way and will always be so. It is part of the game. So don't feel so hard done by.

so fck off and find your own ground to lose in cos you aint sharing ours...and just in case you are to thick to understand...league rules prohibit more than two clubs groundsharing...and we already share with the AC...we lurvv em and they lurvv us...

lets share a ground, get an all seater stadium at roneo corner,we will fill the 3'500 capacity every week and you will bring 220 every week to sit in your measily stands, the worse thing romford could do is merge grounds with hornchurch, give us a new ground and the potential for a first class team will grow,my mum used to follow romford in the 60's and 70's,she used to tell me they were a good team but ask mummy now and there is only one team for her and that is the urchins

my opinion is this, things are changing at the club, perhaps some have seen disappointment too often and set in there ways, this isnt the case now, with people like Reedy, Magic, Robo, myself included and a few others, we are changing things to make Romford FC more 21st Century.

PERHAPS if both sides dropped there guard, and as some of us are now making friends between the clubs, I hope it follows up to when we meet.

So if everyone is still concerned and wont change the situation will remain the same, wont it.

COME ON

think you are wrong there Easty, your club didnt choose to go into the ESL, it was decided for you, dont think you would have got some feedback if you had gone into another league, just think some supporters on both sides should let water go under a bridge, but wont.

come on to those, so what if Hornchurch have a good side, sounds like we wont be playing them again, for a while that is, pity though, achievable yes, but when, dont know right now.

so there is no misunderstanding here...the lease arrangements between afch and havering council are exactly the same as they were 4 years ago and 10 years ago and 20 years ago and so on and so on.....Hx have played at the stadium for over 50 years now...and most of the main seated stands and clubhouse fixtures and fittings belong to the social club...not the council....

There will be no groundshare for romford at the stadium....regardless of our views on the matter it simply would not and could not work...

here's why..

when would romford play their games..? we only have saturdays and tuesdays for the first team and thursdays and sunday afternoon for other youth and capital league games...

we already ground share with the athletics club and all senior league committees and above only allow one grounshare at one stadium....

how would romford find the money to pay half of the grounds upkeep...(we bear most of these costs with very little help from the council)...the stadium is a conference graded facility and as such is very expensive to maintain...with the greatest of respect to romford they could not possibly cover half of these costs...our income each week is in excess of 4 grand and that barely covers it..so any advantage to Boro by playing there at reduced levels of rent would be lost totally in a deluge of groundkeepers bills...security services bills...electricity bills...maintainence bills and staff wages...etc etc etc...

I and the rest of the urchin family have no problem with romford FC or its staff... management and fans..(the forum banter is just that...banter..)..if we could help in anyway then we would...but our priority lies at the gates of the bridge...

whoever you are 'Rom' you will get no joy from this unfunny line of 'banter'...so perhaps better to take your embittered and twisted sense of humour somewhere else please...

thanx...
