Can we practice corner taking.

Two games on trot.

Reasonable no. of corners in both and we never looked a threat once from them.

Oates floats them soft and high, hanging them in the air too long (then struggles to run 120 yards to other side of pitch and is thus out of position and breath)

Standen hits them too deep everytime.

We have rerasonable aerial ability at long last but do not take any advantage from attacking corners

Practising set pieces is essential to any successful team. You can score a high percentage of your goals from set pieces such as corners and free kicks. A bit of thinking and an ounce of imagination could produce some much needed goals rather than relying on hope.

Tony. I hope you do not think my posting is preposterous?

Those at the Bromley away game will remember how to attack a corner.(by Bromley)

Think we could take a leaf out of Bromleys book on that one, where we conceded from a corner.I don't think many teams could have defended that ,the way Bromley realy attacked the ball.

Agree Tony that we are flat footed at corners, but with Gregs high floaters there is little choice, and the defence has about 5 minutes to see where the ball is going to land and surround the ball, as it is in the air so long.
