The atmosphere at the start of the season was so much better than it is now.It so quiet at games at present.

It might have something to do with the standard of football played in this division. I have never come across a league where so many sides play route one football. It stifles the sides like you and us that want to play attractive football and gives the paying customer very little satisfaction or value for money.

PBT. Agree entirely, something I stated at the beginning of this thread.
I am sure that "good football" played on the grass rather than in the air would win more games than lumping it up high, especially as Town are a small side.
What are Barton like ? I see you played them in the Cup recently. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Barton are another side who play the ball from back to front as quick as possible. They are renowned as a one-man team. If you can keep the no.10 quiet (Paul Barnes) they are a relatively ineffective outfit. We did an okay job on him but made three silly defensive mistakes which led to three avoidable goals.

Cheers PBT,

Sounds like another game of "Little v Large" with Town hitting high balls to the Barton defence.

On the other hand......maybe Jim has read this thread and selection will be made to "play football" and use tactics which will leave confrontation with large tall defenders in the dressing room.

Ah well, you never know. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Brunob made a valid point after Saturday's game that to try Brian as a sub may just shake things up a bit and make a difference.

And that is the last good advice that I will give Jim, now its up to him!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
