A brief reflection on todays game

Overall a good game, all the players done their bit, a particular mention to Golby, Bostock, Holland, Tiffin and the Cowleys who were all outstanding.

Good performance in the first half, can't believe we were only 1 up at half time, could have easily been 3. We kinda let it slip a little near the end but nevertheless a good half.

The second half we stepped it up a bit and made a good game. However, yet again, the ref ruined it. Loved his whistle, didn't think about his desicions. Heale should not have gone and their 4 should have been booked for the push then again for the little ruck = red card for 4.... but the ref didn't see it that way.

But we still made the most of it, a good goal from BH and a nice little diving header after the penalty. Overall, a well earnt three points. Next up Tilbury.

A little side note though. The little bit at the end of the first half involving their number 6. I'm sorry but if the player can't take it he shouldn't be out there and as for his mum coming over and piping up, you just ignore it. You can tell that he don't play infront of crowds regularly if he can't take the stick.

the ref was poor today for both sides.booked someone for handball and let double footed tackles go.

>>did I miss the no 6 mum

You also missed the gentlemen, believed to the Basildon supporter, standing to the left of the directors box - he called a mild mannered East Sider a silly [****!!****], and was promotly told to moderate his language. This followed some light hearted banter aimed at the Basildon number six, the reference being that he could be very useful on Haloween night.

well me usual post has been hijacked by the noobie

but here goes anyway...

they came to kick the karap out of us and found themselves on the sticky end of that....we can dish it out as well as take it...

once all that was out of the way we ran out easy 3-0 winners and all the guys including theirs enjoyed some good banter and a beer up in the bar afterwards..and thats the way it should be....

good lads and the No 4 who was the villain of the peace took so much stick that even he in the end held his hands up and waved to the crowd...well done son...

officials as usual were fckn awful and billy holland was fouled at least 20 times by 4 without even a rollicking.....fckn woeful really....

kingy mild groin and back next week and top of the league by a tom mix and onwards we go....
