What the hell.....

What happened today was unfortunate from the club and its supporters point of view.

Nobody wants to see a minority's bad behaviour spoil the occasion for everyone else.

Although we won the game being quickly herded out at the end under the stewards and police supervision does not encourage future attendance.

It is a shame because the club is trying to be a community club.

The abuse thrown at the Referee, lines men(sorry assistent referees)and CK as i stood by the gate leading to the changing rooms after the game was disgusting. I know we all get upset at the antics of refs at times but this was personel. The people throwing this abuse included club officials, one little charector in shorts was acting like a spoilt little toddler who's loolypop had been taken off him. It reminded me of the performance of the Grays directors in the FA cup at Ashford. What chance with the spectators if the hierachy behave in this manner. We ourselves were on the end of a few dubiouse descions,Leon being flagged offside when through after being a good 4 yards on side when the pass was played. My comments to the lino were in keeping with the clubs new image.Excuse me Lino, old boy. Does one not think that was a dashed awful descision. He took no notice and did not even crack a smile.

It looks as if everyone connected with Margate including players, club officials, stewards and fans behaved with restraint in the face of extreme provocation.

I have been trying to find a Wealdstone message board to see if they have anything to say about it, but the only one I found hasn't been used for months. Does anybody know of one? Surely some of their supporters can read and write.

Excellent comments Blueblood. Thanks for making me laugh this morning!

Wealdstone don't have a forum but use a mailing list instead. The only forum used by wealdstone "supporters" is the Ryman League Football Web Pages one, and they treat that like their own. Be very careful because even a hint of criticism of wfc will encourage a return barrage of abuse.

Someone suggested the barring from football of all wfc fans who act like animals, but that would leave the ground empty and wfc playing in front of the opposition following.

Your stewards were completely over the top and spoilt the afternoon for the majority of perfectly well behaved Stones fans. Yes, so a few were a bit drunk and one of them decided to have a pee behind the stand. Not nice, but the heavy handed tactics remind me of how our wonderful Police force dealt with that Brazilian bloke who got shot. In the end, your stewards made things a lot worse. I thought the idea of stewarding was to pacify a potentially unpleasant situation, not to inflame it??

Why do some people have to act like complete morons when they don a yellow jacket? And as for the 'head of security', failed copper or soldier are we?? judging by the sweat pouring off of you, you obviously never made it past the medical. And as for those 12 Police Officers who were there, did you really think that 60 odd middle aged or elderly Wealdstone fans were going to cause a riot??

Personally, I think a reconciliatory game should be arranged between both sets of supporters.

It was the wealdstone fans who inflamed the situation with thier verbal abuse and threats, and that is as far as i am prepared to discuss it. I will leave it up to the relevant authorities to deal with now, as for the fact that 3 peaople were assaulted (all from margate) is immaterial to you

I had a drink in town with a few of your lads, nice blokes who admitted the stewarding was over the top. They were pissed off that they couldnt drink in their own clubhouse. Hope we get to meet up for a beer next time around.

Was there anybody assaulted??? I didnt see any stewards hurt or needing treatment.

Fair enough. Could we please get the story clear though about our 'Chairman', who was in fact a fan.

And why were Margate fans allowed to stand with Stones fans? Some of these young Margate fans clearly trying to provoke something.

So Wealdstone how do you explain comments like the above, from somebody unconnected with Margate?

Why is this well said??

Out of our travelling support yesterday, we had about 15 supporters over 65, at least 3 of them I know have had cancer. About 30 were dads and kids, and about 40 were blokes who simply wanted to watch the game.

So its perfectly ok for some mohican headed loser to wear a t-shirt with the word '[****!!****]' written on it, in what you seem to be suggesting is a family ground???
