What the hell.....

one of the stewards caught on of their fans urinating against the back of the stand, and most of their fans started to kick off at the stewards.

Their chairman was asked to help sort out the problems but ended up getting pushed and sworn at by a number of the wealdstone fans.

Police were called to get rid of them, but as usual took the normal 20 minutes to arrive, by which time they had left. Apparently they came back at the end of the game to cause more trouble which is why the police were there to give a strong presence and deter any other trouble.

The gist of it, as I saw or heard, is........

Some Wealdestone fans had tried to get in for free by claiming they were players. The same group then tried to get into the main stand in the first half for free and then got arsey and abusive. The response was that they (or at least one of them) took a whizz against the back of the main stand. When confronted by a steward they got agressive and everything started to get blown out of proportion as more Wealdestone fans got involved and there seemed to be a lot of pushing and shoving, abuse, threats etc. These fans were escorted from the ground much to the disgust of other Wealdestone fans who then started arguing their case.

The police were there at the end after a tip-off that the Wealdestone fans were going to really kick-off at the final whistle.

Not sure about the spitting on the Chairmans wife but he was near the initial altercation following the whizzing (someone said that they saw a Wealdestone fan push him) and, of course, he was called to the PA box near the end.

A few people did say that the club/stewards over-reacted but having seen the start of the situation I have to say the it was a dealt with very well.

As for our goal.....I think the Wealdestone players had just cause for argument over Adolf's high foot, but what a good finish!

Was the goal offside? Was the challenge on the keeper a bit dodgy? WHO CARES-it's a win-made all the more enjoyable because of their gipo chairman and fans. I heard it all started to kick off when a Wealdstone fan decided to relieve himself behind the stand rather than walk the extra few yards to the lav. Bit of everything going on in that game-just coming down from the adrenalin rush now but well done to the boys who really looked up for winning this one-what a difference JK makes for us.

Even sweeter to send those bunch of [****!!****] clowns home miserable-especially after hearing about the Hendon fan who they beat to a pulp a few weeks ago all because the result went against them.

We're looking good to climb the league now I reckon. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Is this true?? First I heard of it but someone said that they heard before hand that Wealdestone fans would be looking for trouble. And this was before any incidents today

Great result for the Gate today. Terrible game and goal should not have counted, but who cares? Hopefully, as Fisher lost today, they will be on a downer, so we may be able to get something from Monday's game. Well done blues....p.s congratulations to Ramsgate, all the best in the next round!

Thank you to all the fans who supported the stewards and thier actions at todays match. It was decided by an MFC Director and me (head steward ) that the police presence at the end of the match was essential for the safety of everyone at Hartsdown Park, because of threats that were made towards individuals and the club.
