There have been times when, as A Slough fan, I've been angry, upset or just plain old disappointed. But this is the first time I've ever been so embarrassed and enraged. So to all the management, chairman, owners and players of Slough Town I owuld like to say "F*ck You" because I'm one person whose money you won't be seeing for a long time.

oh dear. its been a long while since i've seen something so disappointing. IMHO, only Parkin, Woodruffe and Carbon can walk away with their heads held high... although hodgie wasn't really given a fair go lodged in a left back position.

And before anyone starts, one can only blame the sh1te refereeing so much, to be fair, he was consistently bad for both teams. he worst thing was (and no disrepect to any CCFC fans who see this) we made a team who are struggling look ten times better than they are.

we didn't learn from last year playing hodgy at the back. does not work or 5 at the back got to be 4-4-2. One player i thought might have been given a chance (as we are playing [****!!****]), Tee Daley he wasn't that bad in pre-season but NO so he's left gone back to maidenhead and played for the first team. We are CRAP only wilko & parky done anything ( not counting hodgy in this because he played at the back ) we can't even pass the ball 5 yards, tackle, shoot or keep the ball on the pitch. The ref was very poor but you can't blame him for that utter rubish. There are at least 4 players that should not be even playing for slough capital league side let alone the first team. After that today i will be gobsmacked if the support gets above 200 next home game. there'll be more slough supporters at burnham on tuesday than the away game. The only reason i'll be at the next home game is because i'm a season ticket holder, unless they pull their fingers out (that's players and management)we will be going down. If i played like that i would not pick up my money. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

Actually thought it was a good idea of Eddie's with the formation as we needed something different and just need to scrape a victory to breed confidence at the moment having only won now once in the last eight games.

Trouble was although Hodgey I thought had a fairly decent game at the back Ballard struggled in centre midfield - especially with his fitness it seemed and Matt Seedel had his worst game i've seen him play - totally anonymous, which game Millar nothing to feed on. Just don't know what's happened to the player that we had last season - he's a shadow of his former self.

Worrying thing today was the players first-touch - absolutely awful. I know the pitch did not help, but Chelmsford managed to do OK.

Just think we really do need some new faces. If the likes of Paget, Braich, Lovegrove and Johnny Mason are not going to ever play then why have them around? Yes they may not be on high wages, but at this level surely we can get some new players in for the same fees that can do a job and players that Eddie trusts. Shep's now gone, Brooks has gone back, so surely there is some room for a couple of new players to give us a bit of spark?

NO SHOTS ON TARGET

What is going on - has Eddie put a bet on us going down!!!!!

Parky - having to run all over the place to do the defenders jobs for them - amazed we have not conceded more because of this!

Daly - SLOW, not getting behind the team verbally - is he past it?

Carbon - what has happened he use to be everywhere and sharp - player of the month curse!

Avery - Mavis sums him up - plays like a girl - I would not even have him start - get rid of him NOW!

Hodges - Why did Denton play him there - has he not learnt from last season Hodges is a striker!

Wilko - Doing bloody well for his age and one of the few who came out of the game with any credibility and he only had an average game!!!

Mason - not as sharp since the injury - seemed scared to cross or even shoot.

Woodruff - no strength and did not pass the ball when he had space - managed to lose the ball nearly every time to average defenders.

Ballard - Thought he was a hard player who went in for challenges? - even his throws were into space or to the oppersition - not convinced.

Seadel - as commented by Martin "I am glad that this marine is no longer defending the country"! - WEAK - did not jump, did not tackle, did not pass, did not hold the ball up - what did he do?!?!

Alexis - made the rest look even poorer when he came on but I would not like to have to rely on him to win the game - blows hot and cold to much.

West - Eddie put him on too late to make a difference or was in Eddie trying to time waste to keep the score down!!!!!!

Denton - Is he manager material or was Micky Lewis managing the team last year?

Today was an embarassment, i dont think there are many teams who could let a very poor Chelmsford team walk away from THEIR ground with 3 points. As someone who plays for a pretty decent sunday league team i was rather pissed off when someone compared Slough to a sunday league team- I honestly think my team would have won quite easily against Chelmsford today.

At the end of last season I doubted that Seedel was a striker, then he scored a great hat trick at Worthing and I thought maybe I was wrong.

No I wasn't. He has some talent, but whatever position suits him, it isn't upfront. Hodges is a striker, Seedel isn't. Last season Hodges wasn't missed so much as Matt Murphy was there. This year there is no replacement. We were easily leant off the ball up front today.

Another area we were particularly poor in was passing out of defence--dreadful.

The pluses were that the players did all try (I can remember too many cases where this was not the case), and that they are young and will improve. We do however seem to lack any coherent gameplan, and that is worrying.

Could blame a few players for the goal, unfair to single out Avery. Yes he missed his clearance but Josias gave him a bad shout. Head it when he was just about to bring it down - and had time to. (probably not obvious behind the goal). Ballard should have cleared it as well and Daly should have picked up Adrian Allen.

The boy Avery is not up to it,backs out of challenges, has cost ust least 3 goals in the last few games, needs to be rested,as for the rest of the team and manager this is relegation form. Today was very poor cannot see where the next win is coming from let alone the 12 points that eddie said we would pick up.Today seemed very much as if we had been pushed back to the steve browne era.Going to be a long weary season unless we start wanting to play rather than the players just bitching at each other.

How can anyone say Avery played well, he was total pooh. In fairness to him though, so were most of the others. The only player who consistently passed the ball well was Parky, who though flapping at a few crosses, was superb due to the fact he was playing in two positions - keeper, and sweeper. I travelled 80 miles both ways to watch that garbage. I could have gone two miles up the road and watched Bishops Cleeve narrowly fail to get to the first round of the FA Cup, going out to Eastboune Borough who are three leagues higher. Never mind, unlike Chav Killer, I will be back, when my playing fixtures allow, probably 10 December, unless my insanity draws me back quicker.

I was so embarrassed today that I had not intended coming on here, because everyone can see now that my critical comments were spot on.

But I thought that maybe if the manager ever read these forums he might-just might realise that he hasn't got it and should walk away.

Every fool knows that the two ways to gain points from a football match, is not to let goals in or too score goals against the opponent, or both.

So putting you best chance of scoring HODGE, in the defence is madness-John Charles he isn't !!

Also that only works when the rest of the team are decent players- or at least trying to their utmost efforts.

As I said before this manager has lost it.

You might be being a little hard on your team and manager by assuming that because chelmsford were sitting third from bottom they were going to be easy meat. That might have been true a few weeks ago when we seemed to be carrying a few passengers and didn't look anything like a team. But in the last three games we have drawn away at Nuneaton (2nd in conference south) and camw within 2 minutes of beating them at home. We followed this up with a 6-0 win over Horsham in the FA tropy so are high on codfidence. We also have added four new players to the squad recently and on current performances are probably are capable of at least mid table. You probably made it a bit easier than you should with some poor final balls and some woeful finishing but I can't fault the effort of your side, paricularly in te 2nd half.

Very, very sour grapes that, old son!!! Thought better of a Slough supporter. We have had an absolute crap start to our season and only picked up a bit over the past couple of weeks. But, if you'd like a bet, I'd put up a ton up against your so-called Sunday team any old day - so, come on, money where your mouth is ???
